I...might get this.

I'm no fan of CoD, but this looks much better in every way. It has the destruction physics of Red Faction, the Gunplay of CoD, and (If my friend is to be believed) a comical and interesting story.

Go BF:BC!!!
I am a fan of CoD, but I've been a BF fan since BF2. Get BF2, its very cheap now. That will give you an idea of the game play. As far as the humor goes, that's in the SP part of the game, but hopefully they have the same actors as Bad Company 1, the guys who did the voices for that game had a real sense for comedy (unusual for yanks :p)

Hell, I almost said the same thing. I didn't want to freak you out. XD

And I am not sure when I will get getting it for the PC (as I am assuming you will). I plan on it, but not until I get a new computer.

PS3 it is then ^_~
Nothing freaks me out, I've seen things that would make grown men quake in their boots.

maybe...

But yeah, I'll be getting it for PC once I've bought myself a new graphics card. I know it's a dying platform, but if it's going down, I'm damn well going down with it!

You cn call in a chopper and gn them down much more easily in MW2.
Also enough hating on MW2 its getting tiresome now.
I don't hate MW2, it's a fantastic game, both the multiplayer and singleplayer blew my mind! Easily one of the best games of 2009!

I'm just saying that BF:BC2 is a different game, with a different appeal.

BF2 plays nothing like BC at all.
Jesus fuck! leave me alone! :p /joke.

I know it doesn't, I've played both, but if you look at BF2, and then look at the BC2 gameplay vids, the game play similarities are easy to see. Thats why I recommended BF2 to him, as opposed to BC1. :)

Well I've seen things that make a junkyard dog vomit!

Well, I do think of it as "dying". Just some bad times right now.

But I fell this game will change that
Yeah, I hope your right. This game ought to breathe back into the PC the life that IW and their evil scheme stole.

PC isn't dying (yet) we've just been sidelined, which is understandable from a dev/ publishers point of view.

They do look similar, but BC plays alot differently to the PC versions. It a lot more slower and clunkier.
Yeah, I can understand that, but what I'm saying is that BC2 seems to have more in common with BF2, gameplay-wise.

I see. Maye I should go back to BF2. Just joined a game of domination. I spawn on the team loosing by 100 points and a Predator missle gets me the second I spawn. Then the game spawns me infront of 3 enemies.
Re-install BF2. You know it's the right thing to do :p

Just stay away from the sniper classes. They're fucked, and always will be. Headshots with an L96 don't kill. The fuck?!

I just ordered Battlefield BC1 from amazon , I know I am late to the party, but I figure someone must still be playing, and most reviews said the single player was actually "ok".

:)

I picked up BF:BC not too long ago and I played through the story. I always thought it was a bit of a social commentary on console gamers. Here me through on this one. I have always viewed battlefield as a more PC exclusive game (yes I know BF2 came out for consoles however I dont know about other BF titles mostly out of ignorance) but it was the pc that made the game what it is. BF:BC was the first BF game that was really for the consoles and considering how the game is usually a lot more serious BF:BC was obviously the opposite of serious. 4 guys fighting baddies in pursuit of loot and gold. I always thought it was funny that the one BF title that came out for the consoles completely did away with the seriousness and focused on destruction and a much more lax view on everything.

The game is brilliant dont get me wrong and thank the maker they put in conquest as a free dlc because its not battlefield without it.

As a complete side note I thought the commericals for BF:BC1 were absolutely hilarious.

(my personal favorite)

Whereas the BF:BC2 ads are on a much more serious level.

granted a lot cooler and I wouldnt really mind them bringing that level of seriousness to the console. However I more or less have grown attached to the anti-seriousness the game represents. I would be very dissapointed if the game lost that sense of humor for a more serious game because lets face it I could play so many more games with a serious outlook but only one BF game with sweetwater, haggard, and sarge. (if there are other trailers that bring have that whole nonchalant way of thinking let me know and disregard this last bit)

i loved BF:BC! - the story was engaging, and the humour was pretty spot one; never mind the gameplay being awesome. i've played previous BF games, and the change in direction was a good choice imo - it let it stand apart from other games nicely.

i also liked being able to play the demo - reaching a certain level to get unlocks for the multiplayer when the main game came out - gave you a reason to play it.

currently loving MW2, but as soon as BC2 is out i'll be playing that - who can say no to using tanks!

I really liked Bad Company. Probably one of the best deals on any game ever. I got it for about 12 bucks and played through the entire game and loved every minute. It's just a great game that doesn't take itself seriously and it didn't cover itself in brown and gray. The graphics were good, the voice acting was great, and the sound effects were very realistic. Even the little mini-map was awesome. The sequel looks even better though and I can't wait for it.

Funny thing is I got on the multiplayer like 2 days after the launch of Modern Warfare 2. I couldn't even find a team in Borderlands so I was expecting to join an empty server but the one I joined was completely full. Surprisingly a whole lot of people still play it.

The first one was pretty good, better than most average FPSs. But nothing to write home about.

The second one looks pretty good.

My favorite thing about bad company was the humor. otherwise i found it to mediocre, and unfortunately, did not compare at all to CoD4 for me.

I have only seen mp footage so far, i just really hope they keep the humor. if they do, i will definately be picking it up
