On the day of the test one of the students walked into the class carrying a former student who had graduated that class in his backpack.

You'd be surprised what some students will put when they don't actually want to do the work. I was grading lab reports on a lab about osmosis, and one student wrote about that horrible movie, "Osmosis Jones," and really nothing else. Mind you, this is a college student we're talking about, too.
