Bad games that you play anyway.

When I first played the Naruto fighting games for the Gamecube (and the wii ones now, too), my overall impression was (and is) "this kinda sucks, but I'm having fun anyway." Now that I look back upon it, I have the same opinion about the Armored Core series (or the ones I've played, anyway). I know it's probably because I'm just a sucker for an acceptable fighting game, and customizing giant robots.
My question: What is a game (or games) that have given you this feeling? That feeling that you could be playing something better, but you're having fun anyway? If you can explain it why you played played it anyway, don't hesitate.

-Title edited to be less baity. -mod

And I find the change much better. Thanks random mod!

Hard to say. If a game really and truly sucks, I don't keep playing. Funny you should mention the GC/Wii Naruto games, though, since I genuinely enjoy them and believe they don't suck...

Any game that I buy or rent, I feel the need to finish, even if I don't like it.

For example: darkSector and The Bourne Conspiracy. I wouldn't say that they were bad enough to "suck", but I wouldn't have bothered finishing them if I didn't feel the need to justify my purchase.

Counter Strike: Condition Zero single player.

It was horribly done but when it came out I was playing CS a lot online so I felt like I had to beat the single player on the hardest setting.

I only finished The Da Vinci Code for PS2 because I borrowed it from a friend and promised him I would.

Starwars starfighter- hammy dialogue, laughable cut-scenes and frustrating mechanics (so just like the actual franchise)

I was 6 when i got it...
despite this, i can honestly say i feel more conncected to it than any other game

Marvel Nemesis Rise of the Imperfects. Hate the game but I really want to beat it, and sometimes it can be kind of entertaining.

I'm working my way through Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which has a pretty condensed story-line that is so compressed for children that all the dialogue would probably last exactly thirty seconds. The combat is pretty cool, and I can actually master the combos. The feeling of accomplishment at the end of every level is further rewarded by unlocking things for multiplayer (which I am going to try out once I get my hands on another controller). Being able to fight with pistols, swords and throwing knives and switching between the three is intense but if you pull it off, you can down a room in ten seconds, and for me as a usually pretty bad combat-player, that's pretty awesome.

The worst part of the game is fighting as Elizabeth Swan, as she screams like a female russian tennis player every time a bad guy so much as brushes against her. Every fight as her, my ears bleed and if I wasn't forced to survive, I would otherwise let her die.

I also have issues with the game's total lack of instructions, which is probably just me coming from PC gaming straight into swashbuckling.

However, as this is my first wii game, I'm determined to finish the thing, only my mission has come to an abrupt stop as my cat chewed through my infrared censor and I can't use my console until I get a replacement.

I have gotten to somewhere around level 50 in Two Worlds. Addictive the first time, but oh so shit the second you turn off your console. I tried to play it again not that long ago...I don't think I will recover.

Castlevania: LoI. Boring gameplay, boring level design, repetative as hell, yet, for some reason, I just kept going back to it until I'd beaten the damned thing. And I'm not even a big fan of the Castlevania series.

Roller Coaster Tycoon (3 in this case), I can't explain it, you don't really do anything productive, no story, and most levels aren't even a challenge. It's just fun to put on and play for a bit, kill some people by not finishing the ride...that bit might just be me

I feel your pain. I've got a level 56 character right now.

For as shit as it is, it keeps somehow being ENTERTAINING.
