I've never understood the appeal of dating bad boys, honestly. If I were to date someone, I'd sure as hell want him to treat me as an equal. And I've always figured that the "mystery" and "misunderstood"-ness get boring and/or frustrating after awhile--I'd rather hang out with someone friendly and straightforward.

I guess it's some kind of leftover evolutionary thing or something.

As far as I can tell, girls want to date bad boys, but marry nice guys after they realize that bad boys are jerks. Bad boys may have a better reproductive strategy from a biological standpoint, but they usually make piss poor providers.

Then again, I'm a naive, idealist nice guy, so feel free to disregard what I just said if you see fit.
