OH, so you don't actually have a point, you just disagree and are doing it in the most uncreative, uninspired and unconstructive way possible. Yeah. You've totally changed my mind. The earlier seasons of 30 Rock must be way better if you liked them.

... I... Wh... But... World you suck and I hate you... What the fuck was the point in bringing it back? I feel like the this situation kicked me in the balls, reached out a hand to help me up and at the last second kicked me in the face. On the plus side I can get rid of cable since Daily Show and South Park stream online for free I don't need TV any more.

Way to miss his point? At least, I think his point wasn't that the earlier seasons were better, but that its a shame that they are cancelling the show.

Anyways, da fuck? When did they announce this? D:*

*In regards to 30 Rock

EDIT: Clarification was needed.

Some of the show's stars and (former) writers have tweeted [http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/05/19/community-creator-replaced-as-showrunner] in response to this:
From IGN: said:
Joel McHale [https://twitter.com/#!/joelmchale]: .@danharmon [https://twitter.com/#!/danharmon] you are a true genius. You gave me the role of a lifetime & three of the best years of my life. Buying #Prototype2 today.

Gillian Jacobs [https://twitter.com/#!/gillianjacobs]: I wholeheartedly agree with @joelmchale [https://twitter.com/#!/joelmchale]. I'm so grateful to @danharmon [https://twitter.com/#!/danharmon] for my role, the show and everything else. Thank you, Dan. Thank you.

Jim Rash [https://twitter.com/#!/rashistvugly]: I owe the last 3 amazing years 2 Dan Harmon's brain. Bless ur dementedly awesome brain, @danharmon [https://twitter.com/#!/danharmon]. U r #Community.

Alison Brie [https://twitter.com/#!/alisonbrie]: I'm in creative debt to @danharmon [https://twitter.com/#!/danharmon] who let us ride the coattails of his integrity, pushing boundaries & making f'ing awesome tv. Thanks Dan.

Yvette Nicole Brown [https://twitter.com/#!/yvettenbrown]: .@danharmon [https://twitter.com/#!/danharmon] So many thoughts. So little room. I guess, "I heart you" and "Thank you to INFINITY" will have to do for now.

Danny Pudi [https://twitter.com/#!/dannypudi]: I'm in Amsterdam trying to avoid news. Thank you @danharmon [https://twitter.com/#!/danharmon] for your imagination. You gave us Community and you gave me a beautiful gift.

In addition, several Community writers ?- past and present (well, until recently at least) -- have been chiming in:

Emily Cutler [https://twitter.com/#!/cutleremily]: There is no #Community without @danharmon [https://twitter.com/#!/danharmon] . Period.

Megan Ganz [https://twitter.com/#!/meganganz]: Some people think there are a lot of synonyms for the word "irreplaceable." I don't.

Andy Bobrow [https://twitter.com/#!/abobrow]: Trying to figure out what to tweet for hours now. Yes it's terrible. Yes the show can't possibly be the same. Yes I'm very sad.

Neil Goldman [https://twitter.com/#!/goldmanneil]: It was an honor to work alongside my friend @danharmon [https://twitter.com/#!/danharmon] the last three years. He is the opposite of the AT&T of writers.

Meanwhile, Dino Stamatopoulos [https://twitter.com/#!/dinosthirdtwitt], who worked on Community both as a producer and actor (Star-Burns!) has been Tweeting his very uncensored thoughts on the matter.
Dino Statmatopoulos' rantings are kind of...odd. But entertaining, still.

This is a good article about what replacing Dan Harmon likely means for the show, by Alan Sepinwall. It seems Community will be changing not just because Dan Harmon's leaving, but because there's nobody good left to take his place. Although Sepinwall doesn't mention Megan Ganz...

I was afraid this would happen. At least we'll get one more season than Arrested Development did (screw you fox for cancelling it so soon!)

Why must the good shows die young, and crappy shows continue on?[footnote] rhetorical question. People in general have poor taste and want to be spoon fed brainless crap when it comes to media[/footnote]

Also, even though Grimm has been confirmed for a second season, they are already replaying episodes on the syfy channel. That is not a good sign :(

I think the problem is more that people just generally aren't watching NBC. It's pretty notorious for perpetually low ratings and quickly-cancelled scripted series. With three seasons under its belt, Community is actually pretty old by recent NBC standards.

People will make a point to see quality shows elsewhere. Look at HBO and (to a lesser extent) Showtime. Or beter yet, look at AMC's recent success with Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and Hell On Wheels. And that's not a channel that was known for its original programming just a few years ago.

Dammit. I really loved Community...sad news.

I love the cast, and I feel like it's exactly the right amount of self-aware. I suppose it's not far off of naturally running its course anyway, but it would have been nice to have had a few more concept episodes.

The videogame themed one just recently was very enjoyable. Loved all of the sprites, and the genuine understanding of game tropes.
