Bad parts of an otherwise good game that just frustrated you to point where you just quit?

Let's thinks about that -

I KNOW that I have had it happen to me.

I would have to say the system of travel in guild wars.

All instances, towns are a million miles apart... Bleh.

OMG MAN I HATED THOSE BASTERDS

EDIT: i realized i didn't add anything to the topic, but the vehicles in advent rising, of all the bugs and shit in the game, the thing that pissed me off the most is something that was supposed to be there

The end bit of Assassin's Creed where they throw you into stupid mass fights. If I hadn't been playing the game for review I'd almost certainly have quit. What the hell were the developers thinking?

i say this all the time...

i played LoZ:OoT SIMPLY because there was a GIANT sword for link in it... i never liked zelda too much (story for another time)... i got the sword... NOT the one that breaks... i had NO trouble with the water temple... which EVERYONE finds mind-boggling... and i get to the dark temple... "Be little link" they say... FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU---- off button... never turned it on again... dont care how short a time you have to be small link, i wont frickin do it. i hate that tiny little dagger and that fricken wooden shield.... AAAAAAAAAHHH!

sorry got real angry there... in closing small link sucks a rusty nail and i hope he gets hepatitus and is never seen again.

Do Portal Advanced/Challenge maps count?

If not, the second boss from A Link To The Past, the one from the desert. I'm not sure how I stumbled past that thing...*shudder*

I don't know why everyone has a problem with that, I didn't mind it. It seems to be a common opinion of those who tripped and stumbled to the end.

Anyway, Call of Cthulhu and the Innsmouth escape... very unforgiving.

In Oblivion, when you hace to close those gates. After the first I thought it was great, but after the second, it was more like, ohh three more left. sigh.... (turns off and returns when the expansion comes out. I still haven't finished it.
Gotta agree with that. I can't remember how many you had to close but it was too many.
Most of the time I got lost and couldn't find my way into the towers and would end up wondering around aimlessly until I could see my boyfriend and get him to help me xD

Most activities in Saint's Row 1 and 2, Snatch and Escort in particular. Volition really just don't understand the difference between increasing the difficulty and increasing the level of frustration.

Surprisingly enough, the Endar Spire from KOTOR and the mining colony from KOTOR II. Not frustrating as such, just really fucking boring. For games that get so good, you'd think they'd come up with ways to make them start more interestingly.

There's this part in TLoZ: Majora's Mask where you have to jump on invisible platforms that are incredibly small, slipper and very hard to hit.

The race in Mafia, the amount of times I got spun out right near the end and failed the mission nearly made me cry.

The stupid central dungeon in LoZ:pH, thing is so... so... Argh it's making me angry just thinking about it. I think I'm going to pick the game up again though since I never did finish it.
I'll second this. I went through it a couple times but eventually I just couldn't stand going through there anymore and gave up.

Also the mile high club achievement on cod4. I didn't give up on it but it was frustrating as hell dieing 100 times in a row only to miss getting a headshot on the last guy.

I was playing X3, not sure if anyone else is annoyed by this, but the travel speed is worse than it is in WoW and that's REALLY hard to do. I just quit because it was too much of a pain in the ass to get from A-B and then HOPEFULLY IF I'M NOT ASLEEP onto C and D.

This is why I loved Freelancer so much more than every other space-flight-combat-simulator-whatever that I've ever played.

AH, Pychonauts strikes again, I gave up there as well. Watched the end on youtube. Also took me ages to finish the last level of KOTOR, the last level of Assassin's Creed, the last level of Half Life Episode 2, the last level of...

And when I say a long time I mean I try it once then leave it alone for two to three months, try it again and usually do it quite easily.

in Gta San Andreas there were certain misions that were extremly difficult for me to do such as the rc-plane mission for zero
