ever had an incident where you progress through a game for a long time, only to have it saved over by a sibling or other annoying human being?

Tell me your rage stories.

A recent event occured where i went back to nintendo 64 to play legend of zelda ocarina of time, only to discover my favourite file had been deleted and started over.

Not a save-over story but a I-saved-at-the-wrong-time moment.

In the first Mass Effect, I found the planet with all the little monkeys on it. I decided to go inside of the cave on that planet and get all the way to the end, where I accomplished the task and then saved... right as I preceded to get ambushed by too many enemies above my level, thus killing me without a chance.

I had to restart the game from the start QQ

I played Prototype all the way through until the final boss. Then I accidentally erased my save file. I looked up the fight on Youtube for some form of way less satisfying closure.

Fallout 3, I had all but one weapon made and that last weapon was the one that stood between me and a platinum trophy, but me being the idiot I am overwrote it with a new save.

God that was a bad day.

Dragon Warrior: Monster (yes I know shut up) I was about 11 monsters from owning all of them. Then my little cousin came over and started playing around on it. I thought nothing of it until about an hour after she left. She saved over the file that I had been working so hard on and had 100+ hours logged (the timer stops at 99:99 so you can't get an exact number.).

You know how, unlike every BioWare game ever, Dragon Age: Origins only auto-saves once in a blue moon? Yeah, I didn't.

"Andy (my little bro), where's my Oblivion save?"
"What?"
"K'erg Rykoum. Level 30 Dark Elf? Did you save over him?"
"No..."
"Well, then, I see your character. And your character. But no Kerg."

To be fair, he really did feel bad about it. I mean, almost broke down in tears sorta bad about it. I forgave the little guy.

I was playing Radiata Stories, and as you may or may not know it has two endings, and I had my Human ending save game and had my party and myself at a pretty high level. I was about to save my non-human playthrough, then... I saved over my first playthrough. That was probably one of my biggest rage moments.

In ME2 I thought the game saved rarely because I would keep reloading at point two hours ago. Then I realized ME2 has a weird conception of what game to load.

I made a joke to my bro once about deleting all his data. His retaliation was to delete all my shit. I hadn't even done anything! IT WAS A JOKE!

Saved over my Tales of Vesperia file that had 160 hours logged in and set up perfectly for Grade grinding. I cursed myself out for a good 3 minutes then continued the file I had just started for my low level challenger run.

Had a sort of reverse incident in Tales of Symphonia where I saved my end game file over another playthrough saved at Gnomes temple. Either way I was more pissed off a few weeks later when my memory card corrupted and deleted all my files.

The time I played Mass Effect for about 5 hours, just to die from a rocket drone (damn those things) and find out that it hadn't autosaved once.

I don't even think I got mad. I just shut off my 360 and stared at a corner for a while.

In halo 1 it saved and my xbox turned off then it started me out next time with mixed game mechanics between the pistol and rocket launcher.
