Bad saving incidents?

So many instances where siblings restarted Pokemon games.

So annoying and rage inducing.

I've had that happen one time...by my mother. Yeah. And when she stopped playing, I had to play through with her name.

Not a save-over story but a I-saved-at-the-wrong-time moment.

I've got one of my own there too. Playing Half-Life 2, I found myself falling to my doom, and I tried to load to a moment before that, but ended up saving at the top of the fall. I found myself in a perpetual drop, like falling down an "up" escalator.

My little brother once saved over my Soul Calibur 2 data, after I had painstakingly played through almost the entire campaign and purchased almost every weapon.

I still haven't forgiven him for it.

I used to have on my ps1 a 3rd party memory card, double capacity. It was like two cards in one with a little button that switched between them. Anyway I had a large number of saves on it but the only one that springs to mind is my gran turismo 1 and 2 saves. I ended up losing a hell of a lot of progress for those games when the card suddenly decided it had nothing saved on it.

Same thing happened to me. Only it decided to erasy all 3 spyro games. I had to beat them all again.

I was on the last area in Dark Cloud 2. A friend came over, and accidentally overwrote the data. Wasn't that mad, although it took me a while to start a new game, but I still haven't beaten it. Haven't played it in a while either.

Pokemon games restarted by siblings, Something is definitely wrong when I try to save my Ratch and Clank Games, My friends Xbox Harddrive broke (He went "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!")

Fallout autosaved on me after I fell into a pit with next to a sewer full of deathclaws. Last save was about 5 hours ago so I had no choice but to harden the fuck up and get out of there with only 5 grenades and a few shotgun shells... I spent about 2 hours, trying, getting killed and re-loading before I realized I could change the difficulty to low and waltz out of there singing a jaunty tune and killing the bastard deathclaws with scrunched up bits of paper. Hmph

Unfortunately Dogmeat got murdered every-time while I was down in the sewers!

I remember back in the original Xbox days that I overwrote my own save when saving my brother's character. I wasn't thinking properly, my brain went into autopilot and the save was gone forever. I was quite devastated.

Considering I was only close to the end of the first planet, Taris, it was a little bit of an overreaction.

I saved a Tomb Raider game (single save file) in the middle of a misjudged jump. Fall to death, reload fall to death, rinse and repeat.
