Bad Video Game Endings.

Games are losing their creativity lately, I can name a lot that end great (FF X, Gears 2), but also some that do not. My least favourite would have to be the ending to Final Fantasy I. Nothing really happened, that guy came back and I smacked him down. Bleh.

This is an easy one guys, Fable 2 definitely had the most anti-climactic ending of any video game.

It's too bad you don't know his name, why he came back, how he came back, or why he is where he is. So, it is a very very very very very very very very very very very vague spoiler, but I wouldn't call it that because there is always a final boss to an FF.

I hate the fact that Twilight Princesses ending almost made me cry but I love it because It's awesome. As for a proper bad game ending it would have to be the evil ending to Bioshock.

Kill even one Little Sister and the game ends with you leading an army of Splicers to the surface and taking a nuke with you for good measure.

I actually enjoyed the good ending to Bioshock though. It's kinda sweet.

Infinty Ward really needs to do something with its villains. They pulled the same shit in COD 4. After capturing Al-Asad, a man who has ordered the execution of hundreds of innocents, shot the president in the face on live TV and nuked an entire city killing of your protagonist and presumably his whole army, it's revealed he isn't the main villain. The main villain is a dirty bald hobo who we're supposed to hate despite the fact that the only time we see him before the end, we're blowing his arm off and causing his son to commit suicide.

Let's see. NES endings are too easy, so I'll limit myself to recent memories.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - For teasing me with a much better movie than the one I saw in the theatre.
Fallout 3 pre-Broken Steel - I don't think I need to elaborate.
Fable 2 - Insultingly anti-climactic.
Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 - I know it's meant to be some kind of co-op TF2 with zombies, but I would like some kind of resolution to the background plot. We're right back to "A winner is you!" territory here.
