Everything Sigourney Weaver did in the Aliens film.
Totally agree. Except maybe for the very last Alien film (the 4th one, which really wasn't very good).
What are you talking about? There wasn't an fourth Aliens, there's not even a third one for that matter. Just Alien and Aliens (Shifty eyes).
Oh yes there was, and im not gonna have it with anyone moaning about the third Alien film which was actually quite good considering.
It's just that since people saw the action packed Aliens, most of them probably had their hopes up for more space marines being chased around in corridors by xenomorphs and they weren't really expecting the dark, gritty and hopeless story and enviroment depicted in the third film.
I was one of those people when I was a kid and I really didn't like the third film that much back then (I was more fascinated with action packed movies about space marines being chased by aliens, but then again all little boys are). But after having reviewed the third film after having grown up I really came to like it. Not only because it's made by the same director who made Fight Club (one of my alltime favourite movies ever), but because he took the plot into such a dark and gritty direction.
I loved the idea of having Newt and Corporal Hicks killed off right of the bat. It really set the proper mood of despair throughout the movie and intertwined that feeling with the horror segments quite neatly.
So if you're younger than 18 years old, then watch the movie again in a few years. It's one of those films which younger audiences will for the most part dislike, but the older audience can really appriciate. (not meant to be condescending here, it's just one of those movies that are like that...)
