So how do people earn badges like the fable badges?

Well badges like the Fable ones are handed out at competions and the like.

My favorite badge is my "Long Time Listener, First Time Caller" badge. I got it for posting in an excellent article that pretty much got no recognition besides from me and some other guy.

I'm also about half-way to that Morpheus badge, but I obviously don't post much, so it'll be a while. Oh well.

Personally, aiming for Cyber Celeb. Still a way off, but at least that one will make me feel popular.

You wish friends? You're sane, done and done. (That's my standard: "Is this person a polemic or unhinged? If so, are they only mildly so and funny? If not, are they polite and erudite?)

I'm pretty sure many of us on here wouldn't mind being a friend in reality to others on the board, but physical distances are an issue.

To me, badges don't mean much.
But I do like my "Noble" badge.

I did the Fable II quiz but my badge never materialized.

How do you get the "Thanks" and Neo badges?

I like any of the ones that show victory or whatever in the contests.

Neo you get for 5,000 posts in six months without being suspended/banned/put on probation.
As for "thanks", it's for helping the staff or community in some special way, I've heard that the recipients of it actually have to vow not to tell anyone how they got it.

Up untill now the pony was only for the staff, there will however be a competion soon and one lucky person will win it. It's nothing to do with pony jam, that was just an April fools joke.

Oh yes. But it's more likely I'll actually get 100 cyber friends than even 1 real one.
