Also, when you are walking in WET SHOES (soaked through, thank you very much) in 10-20 degree weather (Below that, wear boots)
May i suggest to you the wonder of Gore-Tex socks? They'll change your life.

The only thing that gets to me about winter is the way people react to a thrown snowball; As if it's some kind of threat. I was told that kids here in England, during the recent snow, were told in school that a thrown snowball can count as assault. When i were a lad if someone lobbed one at you, you lobbed one back and then someone else would throw one and so on and so forth until a good time would be had by all, as strange as it sounds. Bring back fun, somebody!

Oh and ice, i wear good boots but until they invent self salting shoes, sheet ice will always beat the tread on any shoe. I must say i didn't go over once this winter though (so far lol).

1)The cold. My nose and my Ears ALWAYS freeze to the point where I almost forget they're there when I got to wait outside

2) I believe I have a disease (Don't know the name) which causes my extremities (Hands and feet) to grow numb and uncomfortable. It's generally harmless, but quite annoying. My feet will always freeze up at the toes, changing colour to a pasty white and, if nothing is done, they will start turning purple. Also, my hands will start to freeze and turn purple-ish.

I'm dreaming of a purple christmas...
Actually, that's relatively normal. When the body is cold, it directs warm blood from the extremities to the torso to protect to lungs and heart. On a thermal camera, you can see how the body reacts to cold in color. The arms and legs are relatively cold (being blue on the footage) the torso is relatively warm (yellow on the film), and the ears and nose are coldest (usually black on film).

Thank you TLC!

Raynauds? I think thats the one with lack of circulation to your feet.

I love winter because I hate summer because in Britain when it's warm it can't be just warm it's gotta be warm and sticky and it's just horrible.

However I do hate it when your ears, feet and hands get so cold they feel like they're on fire.

Edit: I love snow, so I've been rather happy with the 3 weeks of snow I've had, I wish the rain hadn't washed it all away though =[

I hate the fact that we don't seem to get real snow anymore here in Michigan. Just that foul gas-infused slush and the repeated freezing-thawing bullshit. I miss real winter, where nice, white snow would just fall and stay for a while.

I blame global warming

I retain too much heat, I find. In winter, I can walk around in a shirt and the most I'll get is a bit chilly. In Summer, however, I scuttle from shade-to-shade, and have to have my window wide open. If I run at any point during a humid Summer's day, I have a habit of sweating my own body-weight. I fainted on the Tube at one point, trying to hold three cases and pry a door open in a crowded, warm carriage. Being London, everyone just stepped over me. Bastards.
