For the past few years, I have noticed that my hair is, without a doubt, thinning. I fear that looking at my father, a veritable chrome-dome, is like gazing into my own future. I am sure that within a decade or so (I'm 24, btw) I will be assuredly and undeniably bald.
I am especially dissapointed because I had heard that an indicator of whether you will become bald or not is the state of your mother's father's scalp. My maternal grandfather, nearly 80 years of age, has a thick, full head of hair. So I should too when I'm 80, right? Wrong.
Maybe I'll try out Rogaine or something. If I do go noticeably bald, I will definitely shave all the hair off my head.
So fellow Escapists, are you starting to go bald? Do you gnash your teeth and rail against your fate, or have you made peace with it? Are you taking any measures to try and prevent it, and is it working? Do you follow the "Mother's Father" rule or not?
(This is mainly directed at the males, I guess. But women do bald as well, just not as commonly I believe. So you ladies can join in if you wish)
I can only hope to look this cool after my hair is gone
