Well the ball has been set in motion hair-wise. I have noticed a slight recession but nothing to worry about.

Oh, and by the way, the "mother's father" argument is a load of shite, my grandfather had a full head of gray hair - it never receded at all. Whereas my dad's hairline has gone back a little - but not too much - so I'm holding out hope that I won't lose it all (I look fecking awful with a shaven head).

My dad is baldy (you know, parts of the hair on the back and sides is still there), so I guess I'll be bald too. Unless the baldness gene won't activate, even if it's dominant.

As for now, I have long hair and I'm happy with them.

At least your 24.
I'm 16 and the baldness is coming. Pretty much every male relative of mine is bald, so I've got no hope.
Yo brother in suffering; same here. Though I'm 19, but what the hell, still too early..

They say botox injections inserted into the scalp will premote the regrowth of hair...

Fortunatley I have hair... Unfortunatley it's naturally black...
What's wrong with black hair? I think it's pretty, and I usually prefer dark hair over blonde.
It's the comments more than anything. I'm really pale so I must be 'alternative' and come from a place where all people with black hair are trying to make an anticonformist statement. I'm too old for all that shit xD
Natural Goth, eh?

Don't worry, we still love you.

Haha you kids saying you won't go bald because your hair is thick makes me laugh. I used to get complaints from barbers about my thick hair when I was a teenager too, but going into my mid 20's its thinning right as rain. I don't know if I'll be bald (my dad is), but I do lose sleep over it sometimes. Still, it's not like you can do anything about it.

My 26th birthday is on thursday, and Ive got hair...everywhere. If I leave my beard unattended for even a day its practically a bush, the hair on my head is...er, thick. My arms, legs, chest, even my back...its all hairy. I even have an unnatural amount of hair on my hands. So, im not really worried about balding.

Although seeing as my father started balding in his late thirties and it continued very rapidly, if I start visibly balding im going to just shave everything off, put on sunglasses and hope I look like vin diesel.

My relatives all got their hair. As for me, in my age I still haven't had any sights of thinning, although I guess the fact that I use hair gel to make my hair spiky every day isn't really good for my hairline. If I see any sights of balding, I will shave off my hair. I will NOT end up with that hideous bald top with hair around it style. Really, it's making me sick :S

Good lord this is like a support group... ...I want in.

Seriously, my dad is bald, my grandpa is bald, and my mum had lots of hair. The monster has already claimed my older brother who loved his lush head of hair, and also my younger brother just a little bit.

I'm 26 and apparently I've just dodged the bullet...so far. No sight seeing of my skull, other than the usual part where you can see the whirl, and as is usual for someone my age, my hairline is receding, but other than that my hair seems fine but a bit thinner. But you never know.

I had lots of hair as a child so that may help. Maybe it did fall off but I had spares, who knows.

My uncle(my dad's brother) is hitting sixty and isn't that maddeningly bald so I still hold out hope.

My father's hair done the same thing when he was mid-30s but he never shaved the sides.

Recently on an Irish TV interview show (The Late Late Show) there was a man who performed operations that implanted some hair from the back of the balding man/woman's head where it would eventually grow back and never thin again. The only problem was the cost. 10k Euro I believe the man said and a long operation that was painless.

I have thick, curly hair and people ask me if I'm Jewish all the time)(?). but I've seen my father and his brother, baldness is coming for me, I know it.

I am not balding, it is just that my eyebrows are scary, so my hair line is retreating. Also, I have never seen any proof in genetics classes or texts that hair loss is indeed found on the X chromosome, so I think the whole "mothers father" idea is balderdash. I have the exact same hairline as my father and brothers.

I do as little to my hair as possible, when I start to go bald, I'll just accept it and move on, make sure I don't look like a fool though.

My hairline's moving back (pretty high at age 19), but I don't have a problem with it. Currently keep my hair long for a guy, but once it moves farther back i'll probably buzz it short. Thankfully hair isn't really important to me; plenty of better things to think about in life =)

I'm more worried about going gray. I'm only 16 and already have a good amount of gray hair.
Noooo, not another one!
I started noticing grey hair when I was 14. Now I'm 20 and I'd say I've only got 30% brown left. Oh, the horror.

According to quite a few people, that means I'll never go bald - though I doubt there's much truth to that.

Yeah, I'm not so sure I can believe that. However, my hair is pretty dang thick, so who knows?

I wouldn't mind going gray early, I think - it would actually look pretty cool. I would definitely rather go gray than go bald.
