Listen to some Beherit [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dtbu5XTCPO8], now. Just not their last album, it was kind of average.

or Havohej [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiqbVNMRAjw] if you want some cool music with a goofy album cover

Buckethead, maybe not a band, but someone said Yngwie Malmsteen (sp), and this guy is better.

Whitechapel
This is Exile #118 Last Year. I don't like that band anyway.
HAHAHA REALLY?! I cant believe they were anywhere on there

And for the Record i love whitechapel

lets go with Salt The Wound then.
Ewwww metalcore.
How did you get your head so far up your ass?
Look im not going to get into a flame war with you, but don't ask people to name bands they like then talk down to them because of their preference, thats just a little pathetic.
No it's just an opinion. Plus I would think you'd notice my avatar as the reason why I say such things.[/quote

Too each their own.

By the Way would Cryptopsy be a possibility here?

Have Reverend and the Makers (Sheffield indie band) been on any charts? If not, then them, they're pretty damn awesome. If this had been done about two months beforehand I'd have said La Roux or Little Boots, but wayyyy too late now...

For my answer though, I'd go with The Rumour. They're a band from my old hometown, pretty small now, haven't been signed by anyone but they're still pretty good :)

I'll just go through my iTunes and list the ones that I assume have never been on a billboard list.

Andrew Bird
Apostle of Hustle
Bedroom Walls
Beirut
Cinematic Orchestra
Do Make Say Think
Explosions in the Sky
Final Fantasy
Godspeed, You! Black Emperor
Jeffrey Lewis
Kaki King
Matt Marque
The Most Serene Republic
Pelican
The Phonemes
Portugal. The Man
Red Sparowes
Soulsavers Soundsystem & DJ Format
The SSRIs
Sunset Rubdown
Yasushi Ishii

I'm sure one or two of these will surprise me, but I would be very, very surprised if most of them have been on any of those lists, and there are a few that I can guarantee never have.

...some shit band?

I don't get this... what's the best band that isn't a good band?
There are a lot of good bands that have never been on the charts.
Then why aren't they in the charts if they're so good?

Because the mainstream doesn't accept them.

I'll guarentee you that Necrophagist is more musically talented than, say, Metallica.

Streetlight Manifesto or A Wilhelm Scream. Possibly Ayreon.
SM has two albums and a single. Wilhelm has an album. Ayreon has one Album.
