No I mean this particular artist has had one single and 5 albums on the Billboard charts. I said I was gonna be checking.

Yes, Buckethead is better than Malmsteen. Malmsteen has all the technical ability in the world, no doubt, but nothing can compare to Soothsayer, that songs sends shivers down my spine everytime.

There are a lot of good bands that have never been on the charts.

Then why aren't they in the charts if they're so good?

Because the mainstream doesn't accept them.

I'll guarentee you that Necrophagist is more musically talented than, say, Metallica.

At playing maybe (though faster isn't necessarily better), but I would say not at writing songs. Or singing.

Not the same band, unfortunately. As far as I'm aware, the band I'm talking about has never released anything outside of the UK (where they're largely ignored) and Japan (where they're strangely more popular).

First off, They [Dream Theater] have albums on the charts going back to 1994. They have six singles and, what you may think ironically, six hits on the Mainstream Rock Chart.

And Yes the Melvins have been on a chart.
