They had some success in 90s and 00s but that's about it. It's a shame they aren't that more popular because a lot of people will miss out on their newest album and it's one of their best albums.

Every single 90's British Shoegazing band ever....Seriously.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoegazing

It pains me everyday that no one knows about these bands, even in the genre's home country.

My Bloody Valentine, Chapterhouse, Ride, Catherine Wheel, Pale Saints, Adorable, The Boo Radleys, Slowdive, Blind Mr Jones, Sun Dial, Swervedriver, Lush, Curve, Kitchens of Distinction...all Great stuff!

Well...at least I'm unique with my taste in music, but I wish I didn't get odd stares when I explain to people that I like Shoegaze music.

Speaking of Britpop, Mansun needs more love. They are so much better than Oasis, and Blur.

Because they can do soft:

I personally think too few people have heard of Clutch. I wonder if they try to deliberately avoid mainstream success, cause they seem to be more of a club band than a stadium one. I recommend them to any fan of blues or classic rock. Here are four songs from four different albums of theirs- what I really like is that they're always changing their sound. Also, THOSE BEARDS!

Poets of the Fall. They're the only band I can listen to constantly and not get bored of. Unfortunately, I can't link any of their songs since Youtube is blocked on my home network, but hey, you should go look them up yourself anyway, because your ears will love you forever.

I don't care much for the song but I WANT that bass.

On topic I loved the New Jersey trio, Shades Apart, and I think they never got the recognition they really deserved, despite their awesome cover of Tainted Love (which the following song is not)

Brad were very good. Totally not grunge. More like Faith No More, mixed with the smoother elements of Living Color.

Siobhan Donaghy - Made two great (+ critically acclaimed) indie pop albums since leaving the original Sugarbabes line-up (of which she was by far the most talented it would appear ...)
... and yet at one point had so few sales that she gave up music altogether. Meanwhile Rihanna could made a track of her farts and sell 3 million copies. Seriously, fuck this world sometimes.

Fair To Midland

Granted they have picked up a bit more success since Arrows and Anchors, but this band deserves to rule the world as far as my opinion is concerned.

Full Scale

Shame what happened to them. Normally I'm not the biggest fan of this kind of rock music, but there is just so much passion and conviction in Ezekiel Ox's voice it just grabs me and doesnt let go.

Scrabbel might be so underground that they don't exist anymore, but I think they're fantastic and wish they hit the big-time:

Starsailor. At least in my area anyway. Nobody's heard of them around here and everyone I show them to instantly likes them

There's always Maximum the Hormone too but I feel like I've posted enough videos from them on here already lol

That Handomes Devil... had tracks on a couple of RB and GH games... but that's it... they're not even on a label yet they've released like 3 albums...<.<

They're pretty awesome... somewhere between Nick Cave, The Ventures and Warren G spliced with a bit of an ironic satirical middle america attitude...<.<

And of course Elephant Bones is their most famous track...

I rather like Carbon Leaf. They got some radio play here in the states with "Life Less Ordinary". They're more lighter rock and some what closer to folk than I think a lot of people like but I think they deserve more fans for songs like this:
