I love Feeder's be sides, infact some of their B-Sides are better than the actual singles. Undivided and Wishing for the sun are personal favourites of mine.

They had some success in 90s and 00s but that's about it. It's a shame they aren't that more popular because a lot of people will miss out on their newest album and it's one of their best albums.

Stuff from their new album

Ah yes. Good band there.

It's a music thread, so I'm obliged to say RHCP. They're huge, but I don't care. They deserve all the success.

Seriously, though: Fool's Gold.

I've been listening to a lot of foreign music lately. Game related, too!

Also been listening to these guys:

I could name about a dozen obscure Vocaloid producers, but that would be far too time-consuming. Instead, I'll list what you people might actually be interested in.

Rchetype (DnB)
http://www.youtube.com/user/AkasaiDnB/videos All of his songs are available for free on Bandcamp, but I hope you have it in you to give him some dosh.

Hybrid (progressive, electronica)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoxFLleV198 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_%28Welsh_band%29

Ulrich Schnauss (ambient)
I could just fall asleep to any of his songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLNM-rJi1mM

I wish Nickleback had more popularity. Their music is so great, I don't see why they don't.

...
Kidding.
Really, I'm kidding. (Don't hurt me!)

It seems like Icon for Hire is growing a fan base pretty quickly for a new band, but it's pretty spread out geographically.

My band just opened for them in Baltimore, MD and I can attest those guys are crazy.

OT: The Koffin Kats. I love their music but their newest album is my fave.

I personally think too few people have heard of Clutch. I wonder if they try to deliberately avoid mainstream success, cause they seem to be more of a club band than a stadium one. I recommend them to any fan of blues or classic rock. Here are four songs from four different albums of theirs- what I really like is that they're always changing their sound. Also, THOSE BEARDS!
Everybody move to Canada and smoke lots of pot! Clutch is great.

EDIT:
K, I'm done now. XP

Bats.

Fantastic band from Ireland:

And I'll toss out a casual mention for Rush. Because as famous as Rush are, it's nowhere near as famous as they should be. Going for over 40 years now and they've got a new album coming out soon.

Oh god yes this.

Another band that's worth at least a bit more notice is a 90s band called Carisaa's Wierd. They pretty much lasted without getting big at all. The best way to describe them is indie (or hipster) melancholic music. It's pretentious as fuck, but doesn't go overboard.

While two of the members went off to create Band Of Horses (that got somewhat well known), and then one of those two went off to make Grand Archives, another member named Jenn Ghetto (real name being Jennifer Hays) went off to make S. Which S can be summed up as being similar to Carisaa's Wierd but even more melancholic and indie (for lack of a better word, it's more raw).

Deftones.
Definitely deserving of far more than they have, and they have a seventh album coming out this year too.

nice! not often that i hear of other people outside the scene who know about them. the coolest part of the band is the culture around them. people set up rideshares across country, will let you crash with them and you'll be instant friends, just by the bond over the band. i recently followed the band from new orleans down to key west and all the way up to new york. with people i met on their board.

Holy crap LOVE IT. Im a giant fan of nightwish and paramore so maybe this was gonna be something i loved be default but this singer has amazing talent. I really have no music to share that isnt fairly mainstream (in the alternative scene anyway) but this is fantastic, really reccomend.

Bob Dylan

I know he is known as one of the greatest artists of the last century, and widely regarded as one of the biggest protest-singers of all time, but DAMNIT! HE IS STILL UNDERRATED!

He has many dubstep/electro songs on his channel that are free Legend of Zelda remixes and some previews to some tracks on his forthcoming EP of original songs. I really think he is overlooked considering how amazing his songs sound when compared to even Skrillex or Knife Party.
Here are a few of my favourite tracks of his:

LoZ: Skyward Sword - Fi's theme Dubstep remix
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QFH12ej8qQ&feature=plcp

LoZ: Skyward Sword - Lanayru Mining Facility (past) Dubstep Remix
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNPuiFPp9HQ&feature=channel&list=UL

I seriously recommend you check him out.

This guy. Wonderful music. He did the soundtrack for Red Dead Redemption. Also, one of his songs (Heartbeats) was used in a Sony commercial. (the one with all the bouncy balls in San Fran)

But other than that, he doesn't seem to be very well known, which I think is a shame.

They are also AMAZING live. Last time I saw them, they were so small that I got to buy my merch from them. (Also got to have dinner with Ariel, but I'm not bragging or anything... okay, maybe I am) There's a pretty cool story about that concert if you want to hear it
