I know Channel Zero. Don't like them much but I know who they are because I work in a radio station and we have their albums.

Just so people know what they missed...

I saw Faith No More back during their "Angel Dust" days when Jim Martin was in the group. They were really good actually. If they've reformed definitely see them because they'll split again no doubt.

Rage Against The Machine... well, I didn't like it. The songs tended to blend into each other, I thought they were one-trick-ponies. The rest of the crowd seemed to disagree with me though.

The Mars Volta were absolutely gobsmackingly terrible. Boring and ponderous with lots of noodling and very few songs.

Nine Inch Nails were all about the stage show, not the music. I walked out.

Queens Of The Stone Age were pretty entertaining and solid. The nude bass player was a laugh too.

Haven't seen the others people have been mentioning so far...

Rhapsody split up? Shiiiyat.

SOAD probably, all the other bands I like are still touring. Also, wanting to see the Beatles live is kinda missing the point.
Did Rhapsody break up? I thought they were still together, but as far as I know, they never toured the US.

Seeing Pantera live would've been awesome...
Now I kind of feel bad... I walked out on them.

I would have loved to see Devo or Queen. Other than those, think I pretty much saw everyone I wanted.

My 2 favorite bands, arch enemy and amon amarth. I came to japan after arch enemy had just finished their tyrants of the rising sun tour, and amon amarth, i'm pretty sure they don't go out east.

There was this South Korean hip-hop band called H.O.T. that had a concert in San Francisco. I couldn;t go because it was on a mother f***ing school day. Just my luck, it was their last American tour before they split -_- There was also the time a Japanese metal band called Dir en Grey was comming to Washington, but when I found out they were just the opening band for some dorky American band I've never heard of, I passed.

I didn't pine over them too much. I've hated every live concert I've ever attended, so it was probably for the best.

The 'never did' part of the title means I'm going to restrict this to bands that are split up, on hiatus, or for some reason not touring any more.

Nine Inch Nails - not touring any more after the current one finishes. Couldn't get to any of the shows while they were here.

Bush, Soundgarden, Symposium - split up before I got interested in them.

Aerosmith - seem to have absolutely no idea that Britain exists. Have played here precisely twice in the twelve years I've been a fan - the first one, my friend forgot to buy the tickets and they sold out before he remembered. Second time was at a festival that I couldn't afford just for the sake of one band. The gap between those two dates was 8 years - if they continue that trend, the next time they come over will be 2015... by which time they'll be approaching 70 so it's not likely to happen.

Anything else, I've either seen or am waiting for them to come around again to see them next time.

I'd like to have seen a concert from Green Day's "Bullet in a Bible" tour.
I've got the DVD (somehow) and it's a great show, and would probably have been even better live.

I missed a festival with Slipknot, Trivium, Children of Bodom, Marilyn Manson, Girugamesh, and several other bands.

And I have also missed Children of Bodom playing with Cannibal Corpse, I've missed Dragonforce with Turisas, and I missed In Flames on their latest concert in Sweden. Damn, I've missed a lot.

Ugh, I always find out about concerts the day after. That, or I have work or some shit.

I have a list of painful reminders of this:

Motorhead
Metallica
Slipknot (several times)
Static-X
Slayer
Queensryche
Green Jello (too far of a drive)
Motley Crue (twice. ouch.)
Aerosmith
Dethklok

And that's all of what I can think of from the top of my head.

I am dissapointed by the lack of Queen.

Given a half-convincing pitch for a time machine project I would invest all my dosh into it for a chance to see Freddie Mercury live. The man was and still is a legend.
