In a perfect world, you're checking out the rack at your favorite video game store and you see Rock Band (or Guitar Hero if that's more up your alley) featuring a band you LOVE. Who would that band be?

Personally, I would flipping love to see a Rock Band: Blue Man Group, Epica, or Nightwish.

Rock Band: Bon Jovi... hellz yeah!

Come on people, they have more songs than just "Livin on a prayer" and " Wanted dead or alive" and hell they aren't even their best.

Then again the Beatles and Green Day are two of my favourite bands of all time so I can't really complain too much.

Iron Maiden.

You'd need four guitar controllers to play it.

And seriously, my favorite part of Guitar hero 3 (and Aerosmith) were the boss battle songs. I was kinda pissed when there wasn't one for Van Halen or Metallica games. With Iron Maiden you'd have three epic song consisting of nothing but guitar solos by three of the most amazing guitarists in the world, each with their own signature style. Tell me that's not awesome.

Edit: BAWWW ninja'd.

Well then its not my perfect world, a hur hur hur.

I'm one of those purists that prefer music in its original form. If I wanted to listen to additional plinks, plonks and missed notes then I'd just bang a spoon against my desk while singing.

The bands I listen to arent that widely known.

So im gonna say Iron Maiden. They deserve a GH / RB game WAY more than Green Day (Whos older songs were good though)

And maybe the Chili Peppers.

I'm not a fan of rhythm games and what not, mainly because i only know maybe 1 or 2 songs on the entire thing and i also suck at them, but i wouldn't mind seeing some ops/eds from anime and video games :p

I could totally do vocals for this :D

Opeth, dear god Opeth. I have 9 and a half hours of their music, so they're not short on material. Plus tonnes of talent, and difficult songs to play.

I would have said Led Zeppelin, but I'm sure if they gave away their rights there would be a game instantly anyway.

So gunna say Maiden, everybody loves Maiden (to at least some degree) so it would sell well and not be a total flop, while still being awesome and totally deserved.

Just to see if they could pull it off:

"Guitar Hero: Slipknot"

Imagine, NINE players at the same time! (YES! You don't have to tell me that Paul Gray is dead, I already know it. But Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain are also dead and that sure as hell didn't stop them from appearing in Guitar Hero: World Tour).

Also, I think all the relevant instruments are available to pull it off (the turn-tables came out with DJ Hero).

Led Zeppelin all the way.

and another, Gorillaz.

The only bad thing would maybe be not enough guitar in their songs.

yes? no?

Yeah, I think there's not quite enough. Maybe blur and Gorillaz could work. Or they could do genres, such as GH: Britpop? Oasis, blur, Pulp, early Radiohead... it'd be pretty neat, actually.

But what I'd actually buy would be Muse, Smashing Pumpkins, Dream Theater or Opeth (would LOVE to play The Lotus Eater!). They are my four favourite bands, and in two weeks I'll have seen three of them (yet to see SP).

Maiden would be cool too, they're not my absolute favourite but they've easily got enough songs and fans.

Rush Rock Band.

Epic vocals, epic guitar, epic bass, epic drums, epic keyboard.

Oh, and playing 2112 , their 20 minute rock anthem, would be awesome.
