Last year I went to see Limp Bizkit, I don't regret it for an instant. Huge part of my childhood. Bloody awesome gig. a couple of weeks before my girlfriend had been to see the Spice Girls.

Anyone else have these kind of bands? childhood bands you'd give anything to see play? Personally I'd give an arm to see Offspring live.

Aerosmith, who I'm going to see on June 15th at the 02 arena.

Bruce Springsteen, who I just love.

I would like to see old Bon Jovi, back before he screwed his voice up.

And I would have liked to see old Led Zeppelin as well.

The problem for me is that most of my musical tastes, the bands I are either dead or split up, and of the ones that aren't, those top two are the only ones I haven't already seen.

I went to see Metallica it was epic, despite the uptightness of the arena I saw them at. Lamb of God opened for them and was incredible that was kinda like Lamb of God's homecoming performance.

Coming to the same arena is Lady Gaga and while i don't like her music i think she would put on a good show. Not enough for me to pay money to go see it but it would be interesting to say the least.

just saw Lostprophets last night. I really HAD to see them, but afterwards i was unimpressed. The Blackout were so much more energetic.
I've seen lostprophets twice because i just HAD to, same, unimpressed, they have fallen greatly in my eyes.

I got to see Korn live a while ago. They were the first metal band whose album I bought. It was amazing, we got into the golden circle for free. It was epic.

I'd like to see Voltaire live.
I would either have a great time, or get bitten and turned into a vampire.

Devo puts on a great show but for unrelenting awesomeness live Budgie, two hundred people lifted the roof of the basement when they came out for an encore.

Actually, Alestorm are quite disappointing live. For a supposed "pirate metal" band they sure don't put a lot of effort into the whole "pirate" part. There's so much potential in their act which isn't even utilised. They sound kind of reasonable but look like a cover band playing Alestorm songs.

Best band I ever saw live was The Beastie Boys. Saw them twice, once with Helmet (who were dull) and once on a big festival with Foo Fighters, Sonic Youth, and tons of other bands - The Beastie Boys blew everything else away. Great performers, diverse music covering many genres, and just the right amount of onstage stupidity.

Rancid were also brilliant when I saw them - their album didn't fascinate me that much but their live show quickly converted me from a cynic to a believer. I've never seen a band with more onstage energy, although maybe that's different now that they're older.

I'm shitty that I missed Atari Teenage Riot when they came to my town because I was broke, maybe they'll get back together one day but I doubt it.

AC/DC played here recently, I didn't have to see that because I could hear the gig from 2kms away, where I worked. Sounded good actually, I thought it was a car rocking AC/DC from the stereo in the car park until I realised there were no actual cars around...

I went to a Dream Theatre/Zappa Plays Zappa/Bigelf/Scale the Summit (the played in reverse order of the list) show last summer and it was amazing.
This summer I'm going to an Iron Maiden show with Dream Theatre opening at the same venue which should be SWEET!

Iron Maiden is one of the best live acts of the Metal genre and I am a huge fan so this is a big show for me.
