They're not done a whole lot lately, but about a decade ago there was a band called Rehab, it's sort of the lovechild of rap and bluegrass. And it's pretty awesome.

MGMT are class.

Bands I didn't expect to like?

How did you expect not to like Metric? New Wave music at it's purest form, so great.

Though not technically a band, i listen to some of her stuff. Some of it i like
Though i prefer the Vitamin String quartet and metal covers (Metal cover of bad Romance = win)

I was only going to admit liking Lady Gaga if someone else did. I like her.

Well in the city I live in, Memphis, we just had this thing called Musicfest. A band played there that I never expected I'd enjoy, they are called MGMT. So I guess the question is what are some bands that surprised you by being actually pretty good.

I like Blaqk Audio too , even prefer them to AFI to be perfectly honest.

For me it's an entire genre. Everything that falls under death metal. Melodic death, deathcore, metalcore, and on and on.

Alestorm. Never thought I would end up loving what is obviously a novelty band, especially not for the quality of their music.

I never expected to like any electronic music. Then I started listening to the Day[9] songs of the day. Turns out my friends just listen to really shitty electronic music and there's actually really good stuff out there.
