As for Tom Hardy as Bane...I'm not so sure. Granted the only impression of Bane I have is from Arkham Asylum, but of all the things I've seen Hardy in (which is more than just Inception) I've got the impression that he's a fantastic character actor. Casting an awesome actor in the role of a steroid educed super-monster is a little odd - just look at Edward Norton as The Hulk. I'd much rather liked to have seen Hardy as a criminal mastermind - i.e. The Riddler.

But hey, I can't knock Nolan's decisions because he's a fricking genuis. I'll wait at least until I've seen a trailer before I pass judgement on the roles.

Ye of little faith... Before the monstrosity that was Batman and Nipples, Bane was a criminal mastermind! Said to be one of the most intelligent of all the DC supervillains. He uses his toxin in the same way the green goblin and Dr Jeckyll does in order to give himself retard strength.

Nolan will undoubtedly focus on the pre-mutant Bane for the majority of the film, just as he did with Crane/Scarecrow and Harvey Dent/Two Face. And as you quite rightly pointed out, Tom Hardy is a great character actor and it may even be possible for him to exceed Heath Ledger in bringing real-life credibility to an otherwise "comicbook villain".

If only he'd replace Christian Bale (or never have picked him) this film stands a damn good chance of living up to it's predecessor, something which Nolan will guaruntee will happen...
That gives me hope good sir! I have been enlightened.

Anne Hathaway and pre-mutant Bane? This is good news!

Alice in Wonderland was really that bad huh? I might rent it then to see how bad it is. I'm curious because I love Tim Burton movies, except for the Willy Wonka remake.
