There is this one game, that even though you've beaten it atleast a dozen times before; You end up playing through it again and again. This game always differs from person to person, but there is always one. for some it might be a PC classic like Privateer or X-Com. for others it might be an arcade classic like Contra or Pac Man. for me personally it's Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time. what is the one (or maybe even more then one for some of you) game that manages to pull you back no matter how many times you've completed it 100%?

Even though I don't play it out of principle, WOW is most definitely a B-O-Y-E game. I've seen what it does to people, its not pretty.

Me personally? I'd have to say Knights of the Old Republic.

MGS3. There's just something awesome about it. Every character is cool and the story is interesting. :D Played through about 20 times now. Also there are so many different playing styles like in every MGS.

In addition there's also FF7 and FF9 but they have to wait a couple of years until I care to play them again.

Both Mass Effects and the first Assassin's Creed. Special mention goes to Resident Evil 5, which I hate with every fiber of my being but still keep playing.

I've beaten every MGS at least 8 times each.

And Kingdom Hearts I&II is one I just keep going back to.

Has to be KoTOR on the PC for me. Before the new MMO launches I think I might play through 1 and 2 again :D

Morrowind and Oblivion. If it wasn't for these two games, I would have finished University a year or two earler... But I don't regret one second.

Earthbound (Mother II), ever since I got my hands on an SNES as a kid and played it for the first time I was incredibly charmed by it. Periodically through the year I dig out my SNES, grab the old cartridge and just play it all day from start to finish. I couldn't possibly say how many times I have beaten it.

I agree with all 3. I've played through MGS3 dozens of times, it's by far the most compelling and interesting MGS game
I've also played through FFIX a bunch of times
And Resident Evil 4 is another one for me, I've actually got the Gamecube version and the Wii version cos I love it that much

Let's see... I'd say the big ones are any of the earlier Mega Man games and Rock Band.

Mass Effect might be in this category as well, it's hard to tell for sure at this point. Still too early.

Oh, and I can't forget to mention Civilization. Sure, I don't go back and play the earlier ones anymore, but they're still only up to four after, what, eighteen or nineteen years? I'm still playing them. I'd say that Civilization qualifies as well.

Resident Evil 4. I've completed that game in all its incarnations across multiple platforms, I've played it upside down, inside out, back to front and underwater. I've unlocked and completed every unlockable feature and weapon, collected everything there is to collect, completed the game with every self-inflicted handicap you can think of, erased my game data then gone back and done it all again. I've done this more times than you would care to imagine and I

just

can't

stop.

It's probably a serious problem like videogame-parasite-induced-OCD or something even sillier sounding, but I genuinely can't remember having ever gone more than a month without playing it since the first ever day of the GameCube release. The fact that the Wii version is an all-but-perfect game with almost flawless controls that allows me to actually point and shoot at something to kill it certainly doesn't help matters.

Sims 2, or Tales of Symphonia.
I've logged more hours in each of those games than I have in all my time in both WoW and GW combined, which is a ton.

But they are both so fun...
