Which one is funner and how long is banjo tooie compared to banjo kazooie? anyone remember the good ol days?

Edit: Also collecting all the notes in each level was very important to me is there still things you need to collect in banjo tooie

I played the crap out of Banjo Kazooie, it is still my favourite game of all time, I never really got to far into Banjo Tooie, I don't really know why, what I remember was still really good. Answer buy both.

PS yeah the second game also had plenty of collectibles.

I've only ever played Banjo Tooie, but I can assure you that no matter which one you choose, you're going to get a game of astounding quality from a much more lighthearted time.

Couldn't have put it better myself.
I've played both of them tons and in my opinion Banjo-Tooie is better, though it is a close call.

If I have to be completely honest.

BOTH OF THEM :D

Banjo Kazooie is just so epic, for me it's the game of my childhood and yet I still whip out my N64 for it any day. It beats that crappy Xbox 360 nuts 'n bolts any time, any day at any length.
Banjo Tooie is also a fun game, it offers a more look into the world there along with all its hilarious moments. I've always found it such a shame there wasnt a 'decent' trilogy to this. If you can get your hands on both of them, you should get them both. I can personally guarentee it's fun for hours and hours. Of course there is a cryptic puzzle every now and then, sometimes the mechanics don't work as intended, but it doesn't bother you as much. Usually the game is bug / glitch free (wich is rare these days) and offers a wide variety of gaming fun.

They are both a classic in my library and I dont think I'll ever throw them out.
I do reccomend the N64 system for it thought. Playing it on the Xbox360 is just.. Different. For example I miss the Z button the N64 always had. But if you are getting into the game and havn't played it for a while I think you can get used to it. For me, it's to late. Ill never get it out of my system anymore haha.

Hope this helped.

Everyone has it's preferences ;)

And yeah it is kinda weird. Almost as if they are trying to make us buy more points by constantly giving us juuuust not enough for two things. Oh wait... It's microsoft -.-
Clever marketing money snatching trick they got there.

I prefer Kazooie, though if you can afford both I would highly recommend getting both.

Tooie is really fun and REALLY big (Especially if you want to 100% it), but there's a lot of puzzles where you need to do something two levels ahead to unlock an event in an earlier world to get a jiggy. And a lot of it is just plain hard, really really hard.

There could be a bit of rose-tinted goggles in effect there too mind, played Kazooie when it came out but only tried Tooie on XBLA.

Rose tinted glasses are indeed usually applicable with retro (or old games, depending on your definition). But playing this game recently (this year's summer somewhere) I must say that I still enjoy it alot.

Maybe im still wearing the rose tinted glasses I was wearing as a kid? (Tick Tock Woods <3 )

Tooie all the way. Kazooie is still a great game, but Tooie fixes all the problems with it (inability to aim, having to collect all the notes on one playthrough of a level, inability to hang from ledges, having lives, ect.) and also brings a bunch of new things to the series. The level's feel more structured (possibly because they all have bosses) and are a fair bit larger too. And it has multiplayer!

Banjo Kazooie is a classic game and still stands up as a great platformer today, but Tooie has so much more to do and see.

(I might be a little biased because it took me a while to figure out the pumpkin bit from Kazooie, but I stand by what I say.)

Don't they all have bosses in some form? In Kazooie I mean? And they all had the same rythm more or less. Such as the 5 jinjo's, the highest place in the level, a big guy etc?

I might be wrong though. And yes Tooie did indeed bring a variety of new skills (Such as the aiming, beakbaton and that 1st person shooter type of challenges. Wich were in their own right, challenging or frustrating at most.), and some (amongst them myself) consider it a challenge having lives, collecting everything in one go. Besides, lives never really mattered that much if you paid a bit of attention.

All in all, both are just a must have :3

I have unmeasurable love for both of these games and both are a must have. Despite Tooie's batch of new skills and improved controls, I'd have to say I prefer Kazooie. I enjoyed the levels and overall story of it more than Tooie, it was more uplifting and colourful.

I definitely enjoyed Tooie more. A lot more. Kazooie had a simplicity of design, but personally I loved Tooie's labyrinth levels. Everything was connecting in smart little ways, and even now when I go back to the fire-ice world I'm like "HOLY FUCK THIS IS HUGE."

And I still don't know the layout of grunty industries. It's like playing a new level, all the time.

It added lots of neat moves too, and it builds on everything the first game had.

Plus the last boss wasn't an excersise in masochism like the first game.
Well, not quite as much anyway.

they are both brilliant, but tooie has to be the better, only because it has a much larger variety of things to get and learn. Kazooie was probably harder, espesially the last boss fight with grunty :D
