Greetings and Salutations fellow escapists! It is Christmas time again and that means its time for the Annual Barbzilla's Christmas Gift Giveaway. Every year I do a small competition on steam and the winner receives a game as a gift. The competition doesn't require you own any games or any money. I usually ask something simple like "What was the best "good" deed you preformed all year? Be honest or creative, best believable story wins (double points for proof)." I also encourage others to get in on the giveaway as well. You can choose to have your own contest for your game giveaway, or you can have the runners up receive gifts in order. If you choose to to join my giveaway, you get to help judge the competition (I prefer this, because then it isn't just based on my opinion). After the giveaway we usually start up a gift trade so you can trade for the game you really wanted, or just get rid of a duplicate game that was gifted to you.

I will also be doing a separate giveaway on the escapist on Christmas, so don't forget to log in and check.

Well, we've had our first game donated. We are now up to 2 games for the giveaway. I am expecting more though (a few friends always donate every year). If anyone is interested you can feel free to sign up, or message me on steam (Steam Name is Barbzilla)

You sure can (at least I think you can), that would be great. Do you know if the codes all have to be redeemed on the same account or not?

Okay guys, I am happy to see some escapists starting to flow into the group. Remember if you want to join the giveaway all you need is a steam account. This costs you nothing and everyone is welcome.

Nope, the codes can be entered on any account. How do you want to go about it? Shall i PM them to you or what?

Sure thing, are you registered on the giveaway group? If you are, then just add me as a friend on steam and send them to me there. You have a few options open to you when you do as to if you want to do your own contest, help me judge, or just donate and be a part of the giveaway (i'll make sure you don't get the game you give away).

So add me, and we'll talk about it.

Also, thank you for your donation.

Yesterday, my co-worker was struggling to stay awake from lack of caffeine, and he couldn't buy a soda from the vending machine because he only had a $20, so I bought him one.

I don't really want anything, but I'm just posting to set the bar.

Well, I feel like giving people some holiday cheer. So I guess I could donate something tasty.

The good deeds was last years contest, this year will be different, and it will be announced on the steam group at 5pm est 12/24.

As for pffh, I would love some DOTA 2 keys to add to the group (already have one donated to the giveaway, but we can always use more). Feel free to add me over steam and let me know how you want to do it, or you can PM them to me here if you don't want to bother with the steam group.

This is interesting. I certainly will be taking part in this.

Could I share this with all my Steam friends? I'm sure that they'd like to win some games. :-D

The more the merrier, invite everyone you want to! I am hoping to top 2007's record of over 200 people, though its looking kind of slow this year. Though on the upside we are around 50 now with 4-10 gifts to give away (depending on if the other 6 who haven't sent me their games yet come through).
