Just use Peter "Wolf" Sanderson. Wolf with a shotgun is completely game-breaking, even if it's a pump-action (with a semi-automatic he's just stupidly powerful). Because of his bonuses he can typically fire a shot or two before the enemies even have a chance to react to his presence, and because of the damage and spread of shotguns that's usually all he needs to take down multiple targets. He's equally as awesome as a frontline merc for breaching and clearing buildings as he is at defending choke points.josemlopes said:It does have some faults and I know that the game was even worse before a certain patch but I still managed to have fun for the first 30 hours (then the patrols just never stopped coming and fighting against 40 Level 5 soldiers is a test of patience).
I played this at Dave & Busters back when they had it. Awesome game, and I definitely need to grab another copy...assuming I can find one.Ubiquitous Duck said:I remember randomly buying Gauntlet Dark Legacy for the Gamecube many years ago from a PC World - the only time I think I've bought a game from there - without ever hearing of the series before.
My siblings were doubters, but it turned out to be quite the time sink.. and fun!
RED JESTER, IS NOW A LEVEL 99!!!! LEGEND!!!
Epic.
Im not that big fan of turn based combat, I had already tried JA2 and even though I saw that it offered a lot of cool stuff the turn based nature of the combat put me off a bit. I also bought another game that I ended up not managing to get the hang of it, its called 7,62 High Calibre. I heard a lot of good and bad about this game, its a bit like playing a vanilla STALKER where there is a lot of shit to endure in the middle of a lot of cool stuff. Sadly I didnt understand shit of how the combat is managed (it seems I can only give one order at a time, eh...) so I kind of gave up.Tuesday Night Fever said:Just use Peter "Wolf" Sanderson. I played BiA twice through, and both times he was my top merc. Followed by Sheila "Scope" Sterling, because sniping is also hilariously overpowered in that game (or was, at least - fog of war hadn't been implemented yet when I played).
If you like BiA though, you should really pick up JA2 (the game BiA is trying to ape). JA2, especially with the 1.13 patch, is pretty much the king of squad-based tactical games.
Echo Night: Beyond was brilliant, and I agree, it is most of the reason I want Routine once it comes out.Brennan said:"Echo Night: Beyond", on the PS2. An odd little Japanese import 1st person survival horror title in which you play an astronaut wandering around a deserted moon base. You'd encounter ghosts of the base's former residents, and had to puzzle out what each one needed in order to "move on", while at the same time managing your fear levels around them to keep your heart from popping. It was kind of awkward, but it had AMAZING atmosphere.
Part of the reason "Routine" (1 [http://www.routinegame.com/] , 2 [http://www.lunar-software.com/]) is the game I've been most looking forward to for the last year or two is because it reminds me so very, very much of EN:B.
