Hey guys, firstly HELLO! I am new to the forums here but been a lurker around the site for many years for such videos as Sero Punctuation/Lisa Foiles/Daily Drop etc.
Anyway where were we. Ah yes. Now i know this type of topic has been done to death (just do a search) but something happened to me which basically made me loose pretty much all faith in humanity.
Lets fill you in. I work in a pub in a smallish town which i suppose you could call "rural". Ya know, the kind of place where the same people come in day after day. Now i have had my fair share of annoying/impatient/rude customers but today someone just took the biscuit.

Our pub sells many types of lovely beverages and food etc but also has 2 coffee machines which from time to time when your rammed reeeaalllyy piss you off.
I think it was about half 10 this morning which is market day in said town which means many "older" people come in and want coffee. Now i dont mind making them, i have got fairly quick at doing it and can multitask well. There were many people at the bar and some regulars who just drink beer and a few people wanting food etc and of course the "coffee crowd".
So i was down one end of the bar serving a few pints and today because of a staff calling in sick i was on my own as the Manager was elsewhere in the pub. So after my attempts with "whos next please" i am slowly getting though the queues when i here a lady say in a dissapointed tone "Is it only you on love?"
Which to i reply "Yep". Now i hate this as a question as its one which doesnt need answering! Its not like 4 other staff members are hiding around the corner just watching! But i digress.
So after a few minutes i get the usual tutting over and over again, the staring at me and all the time i can hear her making comments to the people around her about how the service is always crap here etc etc etc.
So this is odviously making me more and more stressed as many people can probably see.
Now i finally get to this woman and the group of her annoying friends and then she has the cheek to ask for 6 fucking hot chocolates! I mean comon!
So now i am seriously pissed off but as with retail/customer service you just have to grin and bear it. Now our coffee machine isnt the quickest at heating milk and the biggest jug we have does about 4/5 coffees at best, so i had to use two different jugs of chocolate milk all the time having my back to the people actually wanting decent requests like beer and food.
To cut a very long story to a not so long one i finally did all the hot chocolates, apologised to her and everyone else waiting for the time it took and continued serving.
Five minutes pass and out the corner of my eye i spot the same woman clutching a hot chocolate and looking rather ticked off. Firstly she is standing at a part of the bar where we dont take orders from but as i was pouring a pint i just casually looked in her direction and asked her what was wrong.
What she said next had me and at least half the bar go "What?"
She complained that the hot chocolates were TOO HOT! WTF!
I mean seriously? You spent all that time waiting and then complained about it being too hot! And to top it off she says shes has to go now anyway as they took too long and that they didnt have whipped cream and marshmellows either (Which we havnt done in about 8 months)
At this point i just gave her a casual "yeh ok love" and she left.
I tell you, me and the rest of the customers waiting had alot to talk about after that.

So sorry for the wall of text and my rambling. I just had to get that off my chest ha.
Anyways guys, i was wondering if any of you work in the bar industry and if you have ever come accross something similar. And dont worry, i have alot more stories like this one ha.
I hope to become an active member of this communitity and i hope you will accept me as one of your own, tenticles and all
Thankyou
