Well seeing as I live in San Francisco I guess I would be forced to get a Snivy.
I live about an hour north of San Francisco, so something similar.
I'm not sure, what Pokemon are native to Pacific Redwood forrests and vineyards?
Well, other than Pot-smokomon.

At the moment It's winter in Ithaca, so a LOT of snover, cyrogonal and probably a castform or two. Also Kyurem definitely lives here. But usually there would be a lot of Water and grass types, Oddish, Lotad, Lombre, Ducklett, Wingull, There's a couple braviary, a bunch of cottonee, and A TON of Parchirisu because there are way too many squirrels here. I can't think of any more at the moment...

Man, I lost track after the first two generations came out, this will be a more old school list I guess.

In Portland,
Well, I have to have a Bulbasaur, obviously
I think a Butterfree, likely from the rose gardens
I bet there would be Mudkips in the canyon on campus
I bet they have Hypnos in Ashland (and we all thought it was just the Li in the water source there)
Do they have Hipster Poke'mon? I think Mr Mime counts.
Probably end up getting a Pidgy, they're everywhere.

So,
Bulbasaur
Butterfree
Mudkip
Hypno
Mr. Mime
Pidgy

EDIT: How could I have forgotten all the damn ducks!
I LOVE PSYDUCK
I want one, I would watch it derp all day long.

Through some totally not questionable reasoning I have come to the conclusion that Iceland is the real world equivalent of Blackthorn, so I'd have a Dragonite, Dragonite, Dragonite, Dragonite, Dragonite, and a Dragonite.

There are no mythological dragons in North America, so they'd all be in Europe or China/Japan.
just want to point this out there are 3 north american dragons. that is all.
There are?
Links or it didn't happen.

Edit: nevermind, I searched myself and found that there are about 8 or so North American dragons thanks to native legends and whatnot.

Amsterdam, so I guess some sort of hypnotic plant? So maybe Gloom, since those always look like they're stoned.

Also, The Netherlands are filled with water, so a fresh water Pokemon might also be possible, like a otter-like Buizel.

I live in the UK, so the Pokemon there are possibly quite generic.

Pidgey (Pigeons)
Meowth (stray/pet cats)
Rattata (mice/rats)
...Shuckle? (closest thing to an earthworm)
Shroomish (raining quite a bit recently, mushrooms loves damp places)
Trubbish

Hmmmm, well I live around Melbourne, Australia, so I'd say lots of Murkrows, Buneary, Breloom, the occasional Kangaskhan, Ekans, Starlys, Pidoves or Pidgey, Ratatta, the occasional stray Meowth or Purrloin, my pond full of Goldeen, my dog Jack, who'd be a Mightyena (pure-bred German shepherd) and my fat-arse cat, who'd be a Purugly.

Ariados I guess because I live in Australia. If it was my specific area then probably a ratata. You know, completely boring and unoriginal.
