So i have some money and i want to buy a game, the problem is i dont know wich of the two.
Darksiders i want to buy because of it being a really awesome looking game but when i tried the demo some time ago i felt it wasnt that good maybe i was yust thrown into it and should give it another shot.
Bastion on the other hand i yust now played the demo and it was really fun and the narator is amasing.

So any help with my little problem, wich is the longer game? wich has better replay value?

Thank you in advance.

Bastion. I don't know which one is longer, haven't finished Bastion, but it is a much more engaging experience.

I haven't played either but if I had to choose I'd go with Bastion, mainly because I hear good things about it.

you have basically named two of my favourite games of all time, and i honestly cant say which is better, darksiders is defiantly longer, and is more puzzle orientated, with a decent story but very clichéd. bastion more of a straight hack and slash but is broken up with a fantastic story and a interesting if not simplistic gemeplay.

so if ya want a longer game with some puzzles but a few gameplay pains and a story that isnt really finished but still okay (darksiders)

or do ya want a unique if not simple game with a fantastic story and your likely going to want to play through a few times (bastion)

Get Bastion, Darksiders is chud, the PC port on Steam doesn't work right. Shoddy control system

I am not sure about calling it puzzle... sure, there is one portal clone level, but if you take portal 1 as a 10/10 hard puzzle, and portal 2 as a 6/10 hard puzzle, then darksiders puzzles would be around 2/10, that is if you have eyes you can probably just beat them without even thinking.

Also, my copy of Darksiders worked flawlessly on a PC, can't talk about the control system because i used a USB controller.

I haven't yet played Darksiders, but am curious about it. Bastion however, I'm playing it right now and it's DEFINITELY worth the buy. One of the best games I've played in quite a while.

that may be true, however its more of a zelda-esque puzzles, as most of them are ignorable unless your after all the extras, and some of them can stump ya if your not careful when thinking them thro, the scales and portal part comes to mind

Bastion. Never played Darksiders, just saw the intro and some trailers. Doesn't matter. Bastion is something you do not want to miss out on.

If you like Zelda but wanted to be a more gorey Horseman War, then Darksiders is your go.

If you want a newer experience with some great story telling, go for Bastion.

I've played a bit of Darksides and it was "meh". Nothing special, not bad, just not that good either. I haven't played Bastion, but it looks fun, and I like the narrator's voice.
So I say you should go with Bastion.

I'd go with Bastion. I loved it. Tight gameplay, great art direction, excellent story (the narrator is beyond awesome), and the world itself is pretty cool.

Bastion is not only short but one of the best games I have ever played. Amazing soudtrack and at least 2 playthroughs.

If you liked Ocarina of Time or the other 3d Zeldas, and also God of War or Devil May Cry, Darksiders is "More of all of that"

If you havent just gone "OMG YES PUT IT IN MY EYES" then bastion's probably going to be more rewarding. You'd have to be very very very into it for it to outdo bastion.
