But again my issue with this is that its ANOTHER Batman focused movie (as in anything relating to Batman and his universe), as we have not had enough of him already.

Honestly I'm not looking forward for this one.
Bruce said it himself that it may look like TAS but it's not really TAS. Also they went with the New Aventure of Batman & Robin look which look so bland with the shading especially when they shown footage of the old TAS (just look at the detail to Batman cape compared to the upcoming film!).

I don't care much for Harley's new voice at all. Couldn't they have at least gotten Tara Strong.

If hotdiggedydemon taught me anything in his PPG reboot video, for some strange reasons, they seen to prefered hiring younger women actor/ voice actor now than the older veteran ones like Tara Strong (the young ones are more hip or something?)

Problem is its ridiculously expensive to have animation quality of Season 1 to 3 Batman the Animated Series.

They got cheap and made the models look blander.

I'm sorry TC, but I can't hear you over the fact that we have a Batman movie in the Batman: TaS artstyle that everyone knows and loves! Holy shit I never been hyped up for a DC animated movie(Aside from the Killing Joke which was released last year ironically). My only complaint though is Harley's voice actress, why didn't they just get Tara Strong? Why a new comer? This baffles me.

A few things:

1) Looks good. I've always liked Harley--or, well, felt sorry for her and wished she'd catch a break, and it looks like this is going to be the case here. Here's hoping she keeps it on the chaotic good side.

2) Her new voice is going to take some getting used to, and I admit I'm curious why they didn't get Tara Strong, but I think this will be fine.

3) I'm assuming that the more "adult left turn" we're getting is that Harley and Ivy are going to be ex lovers. None of this, "Yeah, they're a couple but we're never going to come out and say it" thing that they like to play with too often. This would also explain WHY they need Harley, and judging by the way Ivy lays into Harley toward the end there, I'm betting there's some personal heartbreak behind those hits.

4) Kind of spoiled the movie there toward the end. We saw Ivy turn on her partner. I mean, we all know that was going to happen anyway, but still...maybe keep it out of your preview?

The crazy thing is the Bruce/Barb ship was always there, just a small joke in Mystery of Batwoman; and an implied romance that didn't go far in Batman Beyond. It was way worse in the Batman Beyond comics.

I don't know where Bruce Timm's and his little posse obsession came from, making Bruce and Barb a thing, but I find it creepy and really don't want them working on anything Batman related again, until they can get their fucking act together. I still respect them for the work they did in the past, but controversy for the sake of it, screams the bullshit 90s comic book fans had to put up with in the decade. And Bruce Timm comes off like another try hard fan fic writer. Luckily for me, I only watched the cartoon adaptions and the (Archie label) Sonic comics.

I've always assumed it's the union. Voice actors have to rest their vocal chords from time to time or else they lose their jobs, Tara strong is literally in everything (not to mention, mostly screaming in teen titans go) so therefore can't be in everything plus more.

Besides, if the same three voice actors continue to do everything, how are new voice actors supposed to make a living?

The VA to Buttercup and Blossom have all been minor roles after the first PPG (had a look on wiki).

I didn't say that they should only hire veteran VA but assuming if they did wanted to pleased the fanbase or went with the nostaglia route, they would had rehire them. Heck Tara was sad when she learn she is not going to repraise her role in the PPG reboot. Beside it was stark contrast that they literally rehire all the VA for the male characters like the Professor, Mojo and The Mayor and only the three main girls got replace (Ms. Keane VA did repaise her role).

Even then I generally have nothing against new VA to reboot/ remake of an old show since it's not their fault if the new shows turn out to be bad (they just reading lines and have no input to the making of the show).

She's supposed to be a bit obnoxious. She is a giant fangirl after all. Her cartoony voice fits better than this new inbetween, noncommiting voice.

Arleen Sorkin all the way, but if she isn't available Tara Strong is a good replacement.

I bet it's a money thing. Tara Strong is like a brand name in the voice acting world and I'm sure her rate has gone up.

Cheaper to use younger unknowns trying to get a break.
