Oh god I remember reading that! It was the funniest thing ever! It was just so cringy. It was like a terrible singularity where no hope or originality could escape.Samtemdo8 said:Hence edgy, Deviantart and Fanfiction is the place where all the Edgelord people are.
The Harry Potter fanfic My Immortal is the most edgist thing ever.
I don't know really, apperently the author has her own Wikia:Silentpony said:Oh god I remember reading that! I was the funniest thing ever! It was just so cringy. I always wondered if it was a prank? Like purposefully written that badly. 'cause its hard to imagine someone writing it, like, legitimately.
More or less why I lost respect for him. It's another creator pandering to adults only , and leaving out the core demographic whom might be curious. He, and DC, is making the same mistake as the comic book industry in the 90s. Why are these people so insecure, that most of these superheroes were at some point for kids. There is nothing wring with making things more mature, but going dark edge-lord is not the way to go. Seriously, what happened to this guy?Soviet Heavy said:While I like that they're using the old DCAU art style, the comment Bruce Timm makes about this "not being kid friendly" is annoying me. You're taking a well established art style from an all ages cartoon, and then excluding kids from watching it by bumping up all the innuendo and grab ass. That just strikes me as wrong. It's clear they're targeting people who grew up with the DCAU, but the DCAU was great because you could watch it as a kid or an adult and both would be satisfied by it.

I am well aware of that; it's old news to me. He should not let it interfere with his professional work. I would say save that stuff for Deviantart, but I seen many fan-artists come up with concept, ideas, or fan comics done better than some official works. Doing so would be an insult to them.Soviet Heavy said:He drew porn of his character designs during his time off.CoCage said:More or less why I lost respect for him. Its also his idea to make Bruce Wayne the actual Biological Father of Terry McGuiness Batman through bullshit Les Enfants Terribles like reasons.undeadsuitor said:Which honestly isn't that big of a deal compared to say.....having Batgirl cheat on her boyfriend Robin with batman (whose like 20 years older than her).Soviet Heavy said:He drew porn of his character designs during his time off.CoCage said:More or less why I lost respect for him. Get pregnant from that affair
And then have a miscarriage in a fight
That's canon in the DCAU.
Honestly Bruce Timm has some great ideas
And some very awful ones. and it seems to me like nobody is stopping his awful ones anymore

Paul Dini is the missing link. That guy writes snappy dialogue and fixes a lot of the issues with Bruce Timm's quirks.undeadsuitor said:Which honestly isn't that big of a deal compared to say.....having Batgirl cheat on her boyfriend Robin with batman (whose like 20 years older than her).Soviet Heavy said:He drew porn of his character designs during his time off.CoCage said:More or less why I lost respect for him. That moment made me hate Amanda Waller even more. I was never a big fan Waller nor Cadmus to begin with. She came off as another control freak no different from Slade, while claiming to do good or "protecting" American lives. She is just another ***** in a box stand who makes things worse for everybody! The epilogue episode never happened in my eyes; it is just another clone saga plot-line no one asked for. At best, it has too many convenient coincidences, and at worse, it basically states that in order to be Batman, you gotta have the blood lineage. That may have not been the intention, but the way it's framed invalidate everything Terry went through. He chose to put on the cowl as sense of redemption. Thanks for wrecking Batman Beyond with a cosmic retcon, assholes.undeadsuitor said:eh, that wasn't too bad. It was Amanda Waller, after all. And she isn't subtle. Terry's mom didn't intentionally cheat on her husband like he tried to make Barbara do.
It didn't make much sense, but at least it wasn't morally bankrupt and sketchy as hell.
I thought the point of Damien Wayne is that he is supposed to be an asshole, but over time he softens and matures and realizes the error of his ways.Natemans said:Samtemdo8 said:Its also his idea to make Bruce Wayne the actual Biological Father of Terry McGuiness Batman through bullshit Les Enfants Terribles like reasons.undeadsuitor said:Which honestly isn't that big of a deal compared to say.....having Batgirl cheat on her boyfriend Robin with batman (whose like 20 years older than her).Soviet Heavy said:He drew porn of his character designs during his time off.CoCage said:More or less why I lost respect for him. And that scene with Harley playing with Nightwing in that preview trailer really wants to smack Bruce Timm with a newspaper. I'm mixed on the Bruce Wayne twist with Batman Beyond.
Then again Batman creators have done more dumb stuff. Hell, as much as Grant Morrison is the best Batman writer imo, I hate Damien Wayne.
Exactly! She is loved by many but by origin she is a villain.undeadsuitor said:Amanda waller was created to be, and still is, a villain. You are supposed to like her. Her and cadmus' mo has always been "well intentioned extremists" that end up hurting people in the long run because they aren't the heroes.CoCage said:That moment made me hate Amanda Waller even more. 1. Just because you are not supposed to like the character doesn't make thing better. It's the same thing when a character is intentionally annoying. That can only work some of the time.undeadsuitor said:Amanda waller was created to be, and still is, a villain. You arent supposed to like her.
