It was a short game but also very restrictive. The maps were too small, I just wish they had an outside mission, on the grounds of the asylum. Still I did love the game
Umm.... there's a huge section of the map that is outside on the grounds.

I love the game, but I don't understand the comparisons to bioshock that I keep seeing. I don't think it was remotely like bioshock. I don't think that's a positive or a negative.
That's because there IS no comparing it to Bioshock. Different game in every way possible. The only thing I can think of is the lighting is similar between the two. Other than that, the people that claim it's similar are crazier than a rat in a tin shithouse.

It is a single huge section which was a breeze to pass. Nothing compared to the level after level segments that was inside the asylum.

It was a decent length for me. Any shorter and I'd have been miffed, too much longer and it may have dragged on a little.

Personally I loved it. The only thing which stops me rating it a 10/10 is the...

SPOILER (Just incase some idiot is reading this thread before they've played the game)

SPOILER

The fight with the Joker at the end. I didn't like that he titaned up. It should have been a more complex final battle, with a puzzle or two to solve. The Joker and Batman don't really do physical fights, their battles are mental ones.

SPOILER

SPOILER OVER

I've only played the demo of it, and the style of the story and graphics to me, just feel very similar to bioshock, as does the setting.

It was great, but short. Could have had more replayability.

PS: Loved the momentary 4th-wall break from Riddler once you've found 216 of his secrets.
Is that the one where...
he says "you must be looking these up on the internet!", or something to that effect?

If so, I agree, that was a very nice touch on Paul Dini's part.

On topic: The games is great, but didn't feel that short to me. It was what I felt should be about an average length for a game with that much story to it.

Yes I agree this would have made a different and interesting final battle but I loved the ending I thought it was a pretty epic ending and on hard is quite challenging but not incredibly tough.

Also to do spoilers put Spoiler in brackets before what you write and /spoiler in brackets after (Dont forget the / you need that next to the second spoiler)

SPOILER

i think after you find all 240 of riddlers challenges or almost all of them you should be able to fight him as a sort of secret boss that would have been neat instead of the police going and getting him

SPOILER DONE

That's the one. I imagine it f*cked with the heads of anyone who did need to look online, not that you should need to. For a game with 240 collectable items, they weren't that hard to find.

I thought the game was fun. That being said here's what I thought sucked about it. One: Batman gets the chance to kill Joker but Batman being the adventurous prick that he is decides not to. This results in the death of nearly every guard on the island. Two: Why doesn't Batman start out with all his gadgets? In the comic he has most the gadgets he needs because he has a utility belt and that?s what it?s for. Three: Exploding gel is great for weak brick walls but won't do shit to a window, door or electronic gate control. The fact that the exploding gel doesn?t blow up doors or windows didn't piss me off too badly. Because most games with explosives do this and I've just come to accept it. But when I got the hacking device and saw how I used it to blow up electronic gate controls I got a bit irritated. Four: Poison Ivy's hair. Five: Not enough varied boss battles. Most the bosses are a variation of the Bane battle. The Joker battle doesn't feel well thought out. Harley Quinn battle was a joke, no pun intended. The only interesting battle was with Poison Ivy. Six: Enigmas riddles weren?t riddles as much as poorly worded questions. In the comic The Riddler actually used riddles.
