I hate to point this out but in The Dark Knight Returns, Bruce is closer to old age (50's-60's) and in the follow up The Dark Knight Strikes Again he's like 70-80 and still going strong which is basically the age they say Bruce is in the beyond series;
so the Batman Beyond Continuity kinda sucks balls after seeing those two comics.

Don't get me wrong the new enhanced gadgets in the new bat-suit(along with it giving you a bit of super everything body-wise) are a cool direction to go into but i just dislike the premise that Bruce is too old and broken down to do the job anymore.

Everybody complaining about the costumes only being pre-orderable in certain areas: chill out. If nothing else, the developers must know that they could make tons more money on these worldwide, by releasing them as DLC. Further down the line all these will become downloadable, I'd bet money on it.

Oh, and The Animated Series and Dark Knight Returns costumes are my favourites. I want them all, though...

Gamers can pick up the different costumes by pre-ordering Arkham City from different retailers. Not every costume is going to be available in every country though, so getting them all is going to take some work.

What does it take to make developers realise that gamers HATE when they do this?!

This better come out as DLC later. Hell it should have been included as in the game as an unlockable if you ask me. Oh and the 360 version better include the Joker this time.

Yes, but someone told me Bruce wore the Beyond suit at one point, hence the bulky look.

The TAS outfit reminds me of Okami's photo-realistic skin in that it sticks out like a sore thumb in the game's world, but it's sill bloody awesome.

Animated series batman is definitely the best. And also it is the purest interpretation of batman in my opinion.

I always thought the ears on the Dark Knight costume looked really stupid.

Maybe I am the only one feeling this way, but I am very disappoint. Where is the bat suit with the Bat Nipples (TM)? Am I the only one who feels that Batman is 200% cooler with the addition of nipples on his suit?

The fucking developers of this game sure know how to piss me off.

Why would they do this to a game that was looking absolutely amazing?

Battlefield 2 (I think) did something like this, where certain guns were only obtained by the people who pre-ordered it from a specific shop. That was an incentive to buy power.
Now, obviously, this is just a little cosmetic to Batman, but the concept still remains solid.

A lot of AAA games do this, they just team up with a certain shop and say,
"Right, so now that you've paid us, we'll increase the pre-order sales in your shop, deal?"
It's just so ridiculous; especially from them.

Well done, "Rocksteady", "Warner Brothers" and "DC Universe", a lost sale is now in place.

Anybody remembers Spider-Man for the PS1? It had a similar feature with one small difference: In order to obtain the different Spider-Man costumes you had to unlock them by achieving certain achievements (Yes, you actually got something that wasn't a pointless number).
On the PC side, I can think of a lot of games which had mods that replaced the skin/model of certain characters (some mods were even full games).

We are getting less content for more money. This is becoming really sad.

Correct. The "Beyond" batsuit was worn by Bruce Wayne (Batman Beyond: Episode 1) to help him maintain the mantle of Batman long after his strength started failing. The Batman Beyond Batsuit was developed to be a sort of prosthesis for Bruce.

The cloaking device was likely a later addition to the suit as he found it more difficult to pull off his stealthier moves. It makes sense that not all of the additions would be included in the Beyond batsuit, the last version of the batsuit that Bruce would ever wear.

Terry McGinnis was a clone of Bruce Wayne that broke into the batcave and stole the Batman Beyond batsuit. Being younger, and in better shape than Bruce, the suit gave McGinnis superhuman abilities.

While I'd love to have the Animated Series skin, given that we already have Kevin Conroy doing the voice work, I'm probably going to just buy the game on Steam regardless of which pre-order offer it has. Convince outweighs silly bonus skins. Besides, I'm probably just going to play in the default skin, as that's the one that's designed to fit in with the aesthetic of the rest of the game.

The Dark Knight Return skin looks like Marcus Ruhl. Dude is jacked. Not that the other aren't, but this one is huge, comparatively.

Now thats a hard choice. Adam West Batman is just hilarious, but the Beyond one is kinda cool. But then there is the Animated Series Batman that is probably what most of us really know.
