I think it's worth watching at least a few episodes, especially if they contain the Joker.

There's a couple of definitive episodes that need to be watched.

The Animated Series
-Laughing Fish
-Almost got 'im
-Feet of Clay
-Robins Reckoning
-The man who killed Batman
-Heart of Ice (this is the episode that won the show and an Emmy)

New Adventures of Batman
-Old Wounds
-Over the Edge
-Mad Love (the best episode of the lot in my opinion)

I've never watch Batman Beyond (it's on my to do list) but the movie Return of the Joker is damn good, especially for the one section set during the original Batman.

i've got it on dvd, complete collection no less, and i love them. There's one or tow episodes that make you scratch your head on why they would choose it but that's expected for a show about batman aimed at kids. Batman Beyond is good as well, now throw in Justice League and you've got the best comic tv shows in the past couple of decades

Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. There is a reason we are all excited about Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill reprising their roles in DCU Online. Also, Subzero is a fantastic Batman movie. If you want an idea of the series, watch that and you'll understand if you'll like it or not.

Batman Beyond was also fantastic. Return of the Joker is widely hailed as the best Joker appearance ever.

I watched the 90's version when I was a kid, and the new The Batman series now whenever I can. I prefer the new one, The characters are pretty sick.
Yeah, I loved that one. Never saw the point of adding Batgirl and Robin to a show entitled "The Batman" but then again I was never deep in the lore. And liked Luis Sera Batman's character a lot.

[small]Also there was a DVD release entitled The Batman vs Dracula. WHAT. MORE. DO. YOU. WANT.[/small]

I grew up after the 90s, so I never saw "the definitive one". Alas.

The first couple of seasons were very very good, but eventually it peckered out a bit near the end. But the first couple of seasons were some of my favorite cartoons of all time. The art was good quality for a long time.

Kevin Conroy nails Batman right on the head, Mark Hamil, to many kids, is the definitive voice of the Joker. All in all, worthwhile.
Pretty much this. Its an awesome series, with a wonderful diesel/deco feel, that while a tad dated is still a joy to watch :)
