The Ultimate Cut of Batman v Superman won?t just have more violence, as some suggested/assumed when they saw the R-rating. It also includes deleted scenes that increase the presence of certain characters in the film and add new characters not present in the theatrical release.
Oh God WHY? There's already a ton of characters in this two and a half hour slog fest that serve no purpose other then to muddle the waters and spread the movie's dialogue and characterization wider then an orifice in a snuff porno. What fucking more could they add in?

Jimmy Olson? In that we see more of him before he died?

They said they would expand current characters and add new ones.

As for Olson...

He dies almost immediately in the movie. So to add more of him, they'd need to a) expand the beginning, slowing down the only part of the movie that actually moves at a decent rate, and b) presumably add more screen time for Lois Lane, a character this movie does not need a second more of.

Another likely possibility is showing more of the Flash and Aquaman.

Also I watched the movie and to be honest I did not really mind Lois Lane in this movie. I thought she had plenty of screen time in this movie so she was not a "forced into the plot at the last second" character from some of the criticism I have seen. She clearly has a part to play in the story.

And to a lesser degree Wonder Woman aswell. She surprisingly had a good amount of dialoge.

Anyway my hope for this Extended Cut is to organize the sequencing because litirally the structure of this movie is Reservoir Dogs on crack. Especially the first half of the movie. Hopefully this cut will at least streamline the sequences like this:

Theatrical version: Batman Scene > Superman scene > Batman Scene> Superman Scene

What I hope the Extended Cut will fix> Batman Scene > Batman Scene > Superman Scene > Superman Scene.

The problem with Lois is that she pretty much only exists in the movie to make life harder on Superman. If they could add in some of her not being a complete tool, then maybe that would work. But yeah, my guess is that there may be a few extended scenes, they bulk of the additional run time will be yet another sub-plot, which this movie so doesn't need. Plus some CG violence so that they can reach that R rating.

That's again, expanding on characters already in the movie. If the Forbes guy is right, there's going to be MORE.

Also I watched the movie and to be honest I did not really mind Lois Lane in this movie. I thought she had plenty of screen time in this movie so she was not a "forced into the plot at the last second" character from some of the criticism I have seen. She clearly has a part to play in the story.
I just hate Lane. I don't think she's well written or acted, she does very little useful, either in universe or for the plot in general, every time she shows up with Clark/Superman I'm reminded at how there's zero chemistry between them, and perhaps most of all, I cringe every time she latches onto Supermans face with her hands, like she secretly craves to be his beard.

That last one is probably more a reflection on me then the movie, but there it is.

And to a lesser degree Wonder Woman aswell. She surprisingly had a good amount of dialoge.
... I don't know how to feel about Wonder Woman. Her secret identity scenes aren't bad, but they aren't great either. I get the impression that I'm more displeased with the scenes themselves then her, though - I just don't think she was necessary. And the scenes she was in without Affleck were pretty pointless and badly timed. So maybe that's not her fault.

And while that one scene where she smiles in the middle of combat does scream Wonder Woman to me, it's really only a hint, not proof that casting her was a good idea. She still looks, while standing still, way too fragile to be a super powered heroine, like if they cast Michael Cera as Superman. Maybe in motion she'd be better, but I honestly can't tell through all the particle effects and the complete darkness that obscures the final fight from vision.

Anyway my hope for this Extended Cut is to organize the sequencing because litirally the structure of this movie is Reservoir Dogs on crack. Especially the first half of the movie. Hopefully this cut will at least streamline the sequences like this:

The movie really does need to have it's scenes rearranged, but it also needs a crap ton of stuff cut out too, not more added.

Which would be CG violence. Unless you think Ben got a little frisky one day on set?

The extended cut isn't going to make it any better. Yeah, the movie is incoherent and incompetent but there's already scenes in the film that make no sense and have no place no matter how much more runtime you add to the film.

Reportedly we get a scene where he introduces himself, just so we definitely know its him.

And if you watched it, so that's what Doomsday could have looked like if he evolved more?

Or is that even Doomsday at all?

That's Darkseid. The cubes are the same tech we see 'fix' Cyborg, and are from Apokolips (Darkseid's planet).

If it wasn't for that, I'd say it was Brainiac. Honestly, I'm unaware of any version of either character that looks like that.

Anyone who's more up to date on what Darkseid looks like and can say otherwise is free to correct me.

EDIT

Also... really. The last thing they need to add is more sequel wankery and Christian symbology.

Its sequal wankery that technically was already there in the theatrical cut. This one is just building upon it.

Also if that is Darkseid than honestly I'm digging the Diablo look. Because if they kept his original design I know, I just KNOW that people are going to criticize DC for trying to copy Marvel's Thanos.

Ironically Thanos was originally inspired by Darkseid since he came first.

I have to give DC credit on that, I guess. Darkseid has kind of been hijack, movie wise.

I'm not sure a 5 foot tall crown was the way to go to fix that, but hey, gotta do whatcha gotta do.

Also, I'm slightly disappointed that they're connecting Cyborg to Darkseid..again. I know it's cool to connect characters to other characters but honestly it just makes the universe that much smaller.
It's also another possible plot hole. If Apokolips tech is on Earth, that must mean Darkseid is aware of the planet and would probably try to take it over, because he's a douche. But if Luthor is to be believed (And I guess in light of that scene, in this regard he can be), Darkseid was holding back because of Superman.

But Superman has only been active on Earth for 18 monthes.

That is a ridiculously narrow band of time for Darkseid to find Earth, get interested, send tech, then abandon the project, and kind of stinks of 'Oh how convenient.' I know comic books in general have a lot of 'Oh how convenient' things in them, but... it's kind of getting to be a bit much in this movie.

Oh you have no idea how much worse Comic books can get away with.

Honestly the reason why I am not that upset at the story I watched in Batman v Superman because I have still seen stories with these Superheroes that are WAY worse then Batman v Superman. In my mind:

Batman v Superman is a D+/C-

Comic books like this is an FFF---

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11IFxIW9NpY

I honestly believe Comic Books have made worse Stories than BvS.

It's being said that its possibly Steppenwolf or Yuga Khan. I think it could be any of Darkseid's Elite but not Darkseid himself.
