I've been playing it and had to deal with the audio cutting out and occasionally cutting to white noise for the remainder of the match (Which can be up to half an hour). White flashes on my screen occasionally etc. Apart from that I quite like it. There are some bottlenecks which are irritating because the defending team can just prone there and erradicate your team, but hell. It's not as bad as it could have gone. Of course EA support is awful once again.

Thank god Counter-Strike GO is coming out soon. I really don't understand why EA decided to shoot themselves with Origin.

Why do I have to agree to four different EULAs and install a browser plugin just to play the demo?

Demo itself is neat though. But somehow I always end up on the team that isn't stacked with ridiculously skilled players. If I'm the person with the highest K/D ratio on my team, something is seriously wrong with the team balance :)

That seems to happen in every team-based FPS I play though, definitely not unique to BF3.

Graphics and sound are freaking awesome, and it runs a lot smoother on my computer than I expected. I only need to lower the screen resolution if I max out all the settings.

I tried it for an hour on the Xbox today.

It took me some time to get accustomed to the ironsight reaaaaaally real-looking feel (a little too much).

The only bugs/glitches that I encountered were during the killcam. Otherwise it's really fine for a Beta.

Oh and this little constant light-like flash when someone is sniping, well it's great. :D

It's good, but the 'lying prone in a bush' tactic drives me nuts.

It also looks rather average on my 360. Crysis 2 was better looking in my eyes, Frostbite appears to shine more on PC.
Don't be surprised if single player looks better on 360 than multiplayer. MP is just too massive for an old machine as 360.
Crysis 2 does look better than Battlefield 3. You should see how it looks on PC when you install the Dx11 patch and texture patch. It is graphically superior to Battlefield 3. But Crysis 2 is a lot smaller after all.

I also liked the suppression effect.. especially because it's not that annoying. If you're being suppressed, you either move back and hunker down for a time (realistic) and then you're fine, or you're about to die anyways (also realistic) so it never really feels unfair.
There is a suppression effect? What does this effect do and how is it triggered?

Seems kinda useless though since you die instantly in a few bullets. I suppose it makes sense but it would work a lot better in a game where it takes more than 3 bullets to kill you, I suppose if they miss then it does make you want to get down.

People need to learn how to turn off their tac lights!

Seriously, It blinds your teammates and makes you a target from miles away.

Other than that, and the glitches, it's been pretty fun

The blinding lights are my only complaint. I like the games aesthetic, the use of the color blue and the glitchy electronic music. The gameplay seems solid though I would of liked to have seen more use of the destruction mechanic the game boasts, not a huge deal.

I won't be buying it just because I'm that bad at shooters and due to the other massive amount of games coming out.

Finally got into a game and I thought it was pretty damn bad. This is coming from someone who played the shit out of Bad Company 2.

I like it so far. Only thing I sorta dislike is that I have to start it all through a web browser and THEN I must deploy and THEN I can change my settings. I also can't stop the game while dead or when I am done with a round as it first need to load again and THEN I must deploy and THEN I can quit.

And I noticed (My G15 tells me) that my CPu is at 99 to 100% when running BF3. While when it is off it goes to 3% again. Which probably makes my game lag a tad too much.

I've played a few games on my PS3, it's fun, but I'm not a huge fan of Metro Rush (Hope to god they add Caspian Border), it's not that it's a bad map per se, it just doesn't involve any real use of the destruction engine or vehicles (Feels like CoD IMO). Of course since I'm on the PS3 everybody and their grandma picks Recon to show off their "l33t snipa skillz", also the lack of voice communication generally means your squad acts like a bunch of headless chickens. It's actually really easy to flank in the subway which I always enjoy, coming up behind a squad of guys and mowing them down is always fun!

I will admit that I didn't like BFBC2 and that may affect my opinion a fair bit, but I went on this with an impartial mind and really don't like it so far. First off, one map and one game type isn't enough for me to want to buy the game. Next, the bugs I've found so far (Knife or Ammo/Med box becomes primary weapon, running across water, spawning teammates deactivating your gravity making you fly a few meters in whatever direction they push you in and ADS not working in certain conditions) are waaay too numerous this close to the release date, bugs are to be expected by come on, for a major release this is pushing it.
The destruction physics look ok, but the opportunities to apply it are few and far between compared to BC2; what happened to blowing a huge hole in a wall to get at the objective or throwing a grenade to make make-shit cover? Also, the guns need to be more balanced (5 shots to the chest with a sniper rifle means he's dead in everyone else's books) and everyone needs to stop dancing while they aim, a little bit of movement doesn't bother me, but when you're trying to line up a shot with a sniper rifle and your character decides that it's the best time to start doing the macarena is pretty annoying.
My opinion, it isn't making me want to buy the game. I wasn't keen on it before, but so far Dice has succeeded in making me honestly dislike the game, rather than be indifferent to it.

In every game I go into it thinking, "Am I having fun?" The answer was sadly, "no". I played for an hour last night, an hour and a half this evening with my cousin, and I was just miserable the whole time.

Im playing it on xbox, and other than some connection issues and one weird glitch where i got killed but could still move around with a lopsided view, im doing fine.

Maybe im just lucky, or has anyone else been like me?

First off, it looks like shit (not that I care really, after all, I love MAG). Not just let down from hype ugly, like generic fps on original xbox ugly.
Really? Huh. BF3 is one of the prettiest looking games ive played in a while.

Are all the servers in North America? I'm assuming it would be laggy as hell for me down here in Australia.

Teammates can make or break your experience. I've loved it when I had at least 3 (yes, just three) decent, thinking teammates. If your team is bad, you'll hate it. Everybody should try to find at least one friend to play with, otherwise it'll probably be a rage fest.

Just so you know, the thing with the knife, the ammo box, and the med kit being held like a regular weapon is actually a feature, not a bug. You can ready grenades like that, too. It allows you to use them more quickly, and is also a feature going all the way back to 1942, which didn't allow for one button grenades, knifing, or anything else.
