In all seriousness I actually have some doubts since theres way more smoke then BC2 from what I've saw.

I don't question your friends know how or his experiences. I just disagree with choosing XP 64-bit, I've tried it myself, and half of my games wouldn't work probably. And I've only heard similar stories from other users.
And of course all XP users my self included hate the administrator-rights crap on Vista/7, I used Vista for some times, which is WAY worse than w7, and then w7 wasn't so bad, because MS made it a bit easier to figure out, but it still is quite different from XP.
Enough of that debate, if you want BF3 for PC there is no way out ^^

I know you're not questioning his knowledge. I appreciate a different viewpoint on that. But I guess since everything is going to Vista and 7 anyway I will have to go with 7.

The jets aren't limited to the console size maps. The jets can move around in the PC sized map.

Yeah I have no idea what that's suppose to mean.

I guess he means that the jets will be able to fly over the entire map that pc players have but everything else will be limited to a smaller map.
