battlefield 3 is on the horizon, what do you expect?

DICE have said in the past that they design their games to be more accessible to get a larger player base, and that it leaves realism to modders. So we aren't likely to see massive maps, chinooks, realistic weapon stats, etc. without mods. Especially since it's going to be released on consoles too (I hate to be the one to say it, but we all know it's true).

Here's hoping Project Reality moves to BF3.

i hope not, they really need a realistic shooter on consoles. i loved op flashpoint campaign but multiplayer was lacking

i no its never going to happen but hopefully they put PR on PSN and XBL

Man I loved that game... Titan battles were the absolutely amazing.

This definately. There was nothing more satisfying than using drop pods from a APC to land on an enemy Titan and storm it.

Isn't that what ARMA II is for? To my memory: none of the Battlefield games have been 'realistic'.

one of two things. either EA actually manage to pull something good out of their ass and people like it then stop maintaining it after they release the next inevitble BFBC3 for the console market. or they make another BFBC clone for the console market

i can see the commander, dog-fights and 64 player action happening on PS3 and PC but im not sure about 360, infact most likly it will work on 360

the truth is that the console arent too far behind a decent PC, sure you can spend a few hundred quid/dollars and get a high end PC thats better than a console but the consoles can handle more than you think

I wouldn't mind another Battlefield: Vietnam. I've enjoyed that one the most of all the BF games, possibly due to being able to listen to Ride of the Valkyries while dropping napalm >

Anyway, large maps, terrain that can conceal the player, loads of vehicles, planes, choppers, etc. Or set it in during the Hundred Years War, that would be fine as well...

They're coming out with a Vietnam expansion pack for Bad Company 2.

As long as they bring back 64 player maps I'll be perfectly fine.

Of course, team commanders, the Q menu, and for once, balanced weapons and vehicles would be nice too. Though something tells me I'm going to be disappointed if I expect that.

Absolutely, plus being a commander actually bore a lot of weight...where to place artilleries and EMPs, etc.

well i have only played BF:BC2 and i absolutly love it. The futuristic one, like 2142(or whatever year it was) looks cool, or maybe an alt reality where WW2 ended differently and now the world is completely different.
