Battlefield 3 looks like crap and glitches like mad. I am upset.

No, this is not an "OMGWTFBBQ MW3 IS BETTER THAN BF3!!" thead (it's not). Just my upsetedness over the game letting me down.

Even with the "HD Pack" installed, it looks like it belongs on the original xbox.

I'm very disappointed. I was really looking forward to this game. I even went out and bought a hard drive for my Xbox when it told me I needed it for the HD Pack (fuck you very much Microsoft and EA). Not only do textures not load, the weapons look like shit and the campaign is only a series QTE's and invisible QTE's (meaning YOU have to figure out exactly what the game wants you to do or else die).

The multiplayer is pretty fun though minus the aggravating fact that a freaking TANK can't seem to kill infantry guys.

Anyway, did this happen to you with this game? Or any other games that came out recently?

I don't like rants like these.....
I'm not saying your wrong because I had similar experiences. But every game that I had played had flaws, posting a thread about the flaws of a game is: Stupid, Unoriginal and not necessary.
Flaws can make a game look good at the other side but turning your gaze to the flawed side won't help you enjoy your game, And far worse can spoil other people's game.
So please stop pointless ranting on a broken game.

Game looks stunning for me. Granted, I'm playing it on the PC.

In fact, I'm very pleasantly surprised with how optimized it is - DICE definitely had their priorities in order, which is more than I can say for most developers these days.

The 360 is reaching the end of it's capacity to maintain modern visuals. 512 MB just isn't enough to handle what Battlefield 3 is capable of, so you have to take what you can get.

Unfortunately yes, so I sold it on fleabay.

Sadly BF3 is way beyond the abilities of Xbox 360 hardware. Besides the much maligned texture pack you may have noticed that the game also letter boxes (cuts the top and bottom off the screen as black space) and even then it suffers slow down and texture jump in. 720p and particles and AA is just too much for it.

Might be worth re-installing the texture pack though, it looked pretty good on mine with the HD pack installed.

As for the campaign... well the worst bit is near the beginning with that F-18E section (or hey, push left and right trigger during this cutscene dude), the best levels are the penultimate and one before it, which ditch most of the story/QTE schtick and just go with old school massive shoot outs. The rest of it stinks, but fighting the paratroopers in 'the field in Iran' is an excellent twenty five minutes.

It can, that's what the second gunner seat is for. I smile at a tank without a machinegunner, as they're delicious food for my hungry hungry C4 bricks.

Depends on what you mean with recently. I was thoroughly disappointed with Red Dead Redemption's performance and looks on the PS3. The framerate dropped way too much and the object pop-up was awful.

Not sure what you or your xbox are on tbh, the game looks great on console (and fucking amazing on PC )
And you shouldn't be trying to kill foot troops with the tanks main gun, its for blowing up other tanks. Get a gunner to use the machine guns. A tank without a machine gunner is a easy target for c4/RPGs

Any tank driver that goes in without someone on the .50 cal or infantry support is asking to get their shit kicked in. Also: LMG secondary or canister shells say hi.

Multiplayer gets better once you unlock some good equipment. Until then, you're pretty useless in vehicles (jets especially).
