Not sure where the $200 dollar thing is coming from, but I'd just upgrade to windows 7 anyway. It's stable and doesn't suck, and you can get a good deal on it now. I got 3 copies for just over 100 bucks a while back.

Also FPS' are much better on the computer in my opinion. I could be wrong in this, but if you buy the physical copy, i'm pretty sure you don't have to use origin to play the game.

Well, i need to clarify at least that my pc can handle Battlefield Bad Company 2 in High with no problem. Not sure how much more demanding BF3 will be.
The other thing was, as i stated, that i have no friends apparently anymore on xbox for whom i would have bought that game.
Still can get it for the xbox though.
Nah, i don't care where it runs better and stuff like that. I am beyond that already.

I'll be getting it on the Xbox, but only because my laptop is a big pile of wank. But it does seem that if you have a PC capable of running it, thats what you should go with due to the many more benefits, and the 64 player games over 24 on the xbox.

Personally I think it is, if you have the money of course.

It would run much smoother on PC, better graphics, more players and better control.

Then again, you are paying much more for a single game. Then again you could also get games like Skyrim for it.

this argument is as old as it is wrong anyway. you don't need a four digit monster pc to play modern games. if the five year old xbox hardware can handle it, a dirt cheap medium power pc can do it easily too. it will, of course, look like ass then. just like on the xbox with the same power.


personally, i'll get it for pc, simply because consoles will only get the smaller versions of the maps, less players, and if the past has taught us anything, sucky netcode. plus the idea of playing a game of precise aiming with a thumbstick makes my teeth hurt.

Did I ever say you did? No. I wasn't arguing anything, you just couldn't seem to comprehend what I said. 200$ upgrade isn't 4 digits. It is 200$. It still has another 800 to go before it had 4 digits. If he wants to play on the superior platform, which IS PC, let him.

Why is it superior? Well, better graphics, More players 32 v 32 unless he wants 16 v 16 or 12 v 12. A more tactical thinking and larger community with Mics. In this case it is the superior platform.

If your PC can run it or have a lot of money lying around for a new PC then obviously it'll be great on PC. If you were looking at the console honestly I'd look more at MW3 than BF3.

MW3 has been looking much improved with each new info release save for the typical "MW3 lol" comments and BF3 has been looking worse and worse for the consoles.
