Hey Guys. I recently bought Battlefield 3, and I'm desperate to try it. But when I tried to run it, after I downloaded the game to 100% of course, Origin first asks me for a release date check (which I find weird since it took like 1 second to perform). After that, it says that I need to re-install Battlefield. "Fine by me!" I say to myself and open Origin to do so. But for some reason Origin is not responding. I try to close that piece of shit steam-ripoff, but at this point Origin is now in some kind of fucking stealth mode. I therefore can't shut down my computer and have to do so manually. I tried to reinstall Origin and Battlefield, but the same thing keeps happening.
Anyone having the same problem? Please help, I can't wait to pwn ur asses!

Try this:

If you do this and it breaks the game all you need to do is go into:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games

Rename the Battlefield 3 folder to something like "Battlefield 3 - 2"

Exit and restart Origin.

Start to re-download Battlefield 3.

Exit Origin.

Delete "Battlefield 3" and name the original folder "Battlefield 3" again.

Restart Origin.

Click the download button under the BF3 icon and it immediately starts at 99.65% or whatever. It will patch, re-install, and you are good.

Should I let the first "re-download" finish?

Contact their support. I'm sorry but sometimes that's the only workable solution.

you: I am playing from home
you: Are you still there ?
Amanda: Yes I am sorry we are looking into this.
you: ok thanks
Amanda: We are unsure as to what the issue is and we have exhausted all of our options. There is this website that you can use to assist you with your networking problem as the pinging issue that is suppose to be happening is a networking/router issue. http://portforward.com/. This will help you, now once you pick your router, there will be an add that pops up before you get into the information about your router on the upper right of the screen you will see a skip this ad. click on that.
Amanda: This should help you.
you: Well.. you gave me the portnumbers I have enabled them. what else can I do.
Amanda: Look at your router numbers
you: They have been configured like you told me
you: 456 people in the forum have this issue too right now for days

WOw that has just convinced me not to buy Battlefield 3.
If it is solved by friday. I might buy it. Unless that is the case. My wallet will be a little heavier
