Battlefield bad company 2 demo is better than any full FPS out at the moment.

The Demo's been the most fun I've had with an FPS, considering I kick butt at it.

Yay, every match first player

Is this the multiplayer demo?

I don't consider it worth mentioning until I see the singleplayer, which is why I liked the first game.
I agree. The first game earned my enjoyment through interesting characters and snappy dialogue.

I never even played the multiplayer.
Of course, EA decided to remove that Snappy Diolage, and interesting characters, and make it more serious.

(I.E like every other modern based FPS on the market.)
They haven't as far as I've heard

I love the demo. It is a squad based FPS that exceeds all of my expectations. The ability to tell other players to give you ammo, to slow down ect. with the press of one button helps to make it feel like a real team game.

I only played it a bit at a friends house (since Microsoft screwed me over in suddenly deciding not to allow minors to download "marketing material"), but it does look amazing. I wouldn't say the demo itself is better than games like Modern Warfare 2, but the full game certainly has the potential to be.

I wouldn't say its the best shooter. However, of all the recent multiplayer titles that have come out I do enjoy this one and the beta the most. MW2 seems to cater to people who have all day to level up and earn perks and the like. I have two jobs and a wife I can't play video games all day. I want to pick up a game and kill a few hours and have fun. Battlefield online is usually easier for me to do that. 1942, BFBC1, and the beta/demo.

Hell, no.
It's not even fucking close to Battlefield 2.
You're definitely mislead.

How is BF2 better than BFBC2? let's hear some debate.
Battlefield 2 is a classic trendsetter with excellent maps, greater squad system, better HUD and, all around, more teamwork-based feel to it.
Not to say that BF:BC2 is bad, it is actually looking up to be fantastic even by Battlefield standards but it isn't really as good as some classic games.

Ok name 1 better FPS. MW2? MAG? 1943?
Modern Warfare 2.
IN MY OPINION.

Wait, how do you know this? I've been wanting to play the first because I enjoyed the dialogue in the first game's demo.

At any rate, it's hard to imagine myself being ANY less interested in a modern toned, console fps. I'll be sticking with TF2 on pc, thanks.

So you think that BF2 from the same mapmakers (dice) made a better game 5 years ago than they do today. That's interesting, I'm sure they'd be thrilled to hear that. And people say I make bold statements.

Modern Warfare 2 did nothing to advance the genre, in fact I think the lesson taken from that game is how not to design maps for multiplayer, and maybe do some play testing.

I'll tell you why I haven't managed to play the demo.

My ps3 got the Yellow light of death (YLOD) and now I'm 500km away from it.
In three years of owning, I got let down three times. Forunate in my misfotune, I paid only for the YLOD (145eu). Misfotunate in my misfortune, I couldn't find any third party fix and I didn't had the tools to fix it myself.

I envy you and everyone else for playing the DEMO. (just kidding)

Cheres.

I agree. They need to stop with these crappy console games and make a real Battlefield 3.

Okay, let's play your way. What does BF:BC2 do to advance the genre? Doesn't look too different, if you ask me.
When I'm playing a game, I really could care less if it "advances the genre".
Also, yes, DICE made better maps five years ago. I'm sure they're really sorry about that.

I'm not going to say either of you are wrong, but this is kind of a hard debate to have, considering we are comparing a demo (with one map and limited weapon and vehicle selection) to full games. It could turn out that BF:BC2 has the best maps in the history of FPS's, or some of the worst.

So, how about we wait 'till we actually have something to compare before debating what game is better?

I have bought MAG and MW2 and all the latest and greatest PC FPS games and BFBC2 blows them all away, I'm not talking about the full game just the demo. Vehicles and large maps that have elements that can be destroyed.

Unfortunately nobody seems to be talking about this game. Has anybody played the demo here?
Yeah don't let the demo fool you. I've played demos that are awesome, but the fully game sucks a rusty fire hydrant. Wait until the full version comes out before dissing every other game

it's so much fun, for some reason I like it way more than MW2.
still a shame they brought in regenerating health.

Actually you're wrong about the maps, every building in BFBC2 you can walk into look out the windows. It's more detailed in every way.

But the thing that really pushes the genre is the way a map looks after fighting on it for 30 minutes it looks like a war actually happened there.

Right, because the single player campaign and multiplayer will be identical in experience.
