Better than i thought it would be, and even with my specs it still runs as smooth as ever! It may not be the battlefront i played 10 years ago but its still glorious!

You can also edit the appearance of your chatarcter (rebel or imperial) but that is locked for the beta, The star cards pretty much allow u to create your own class, instead of of several classes already premade which is cool!

Fighters are hard to control but all they need is a sensitivity change.

Overall its great and i can't wait to see more of this game!

It's Battlefield, of course it's a shit storm bug-wise, the game being unplayable for the first three months after launch is expected as a default.

Other than a few connectivity issues at first, there haven't been any in-game bugs that make the game unplayable. Just some initial connection woes at the outset but once you get into a game there haven't been any dropped connections.

All said and done it is a beautiful game graphics-wise, no framerate issues (AMD R9 290x GPU w/ 8-core AMD processor and 8gb RAM). Smooth, may well be 60fps.

2 MP levels, Hoth (Walker Assault) and Sullust (Drop Zone) and one Single Player/Co-Op Tattooine. Single player is basic horde mode, but engaging. Walker Assault is 40 players, large map, and Drop Zone is a decent sized map in rocky terrain, king of the hill type.

Haven't yet got into a vehicle.

Overall, not bad and I'm keeping it on my buy list.

Played just two rounds of it just now[footnote]Only on the 8v8 mode and only two rounds as I've got a lot of free time over the next two days, which will more than likely be poured into the beta with a bud[/footnote] and I have to say, it's actually pretty neat. Runs pretty damn well too, so I think they buffed up the system requirements a bit to look like they're truly "nextgen". Ran it on medium settings, GTX760, an i5-4690 and 8gigs of RAM, solid 60Fps at all times. Will probably bump it up to higher tomorrow, see how it handles then.

But yeah, this game is fucking beautiful. Lens flare is a bit annoying at times but it's still an incredibly pretty game. Have to try Walker Assault tomorrow with a bud, see how the party system works as well. One thing that's a death kneel for me in FPSes, shitty party systems. *Glares at Dirty Bomb for not having one*

Great, now I just have to wait for three months or more after launch to see what kind of shit they were hiding from consumers at launch.

I've found it to be okay. Its just okay.

Walker Assault is horrifically imba, so that takes the fun out of the mode. Drop Zones interestin, but there's not much too it with the level cap being so low.

Aiming is super duper janky too, which is frustrating.

It looks gorgeous though, so there's that at least.

Note that there is a mode that isn't in the beta having to do with starfigthers and possibly the Falcon. It may not be space battles but it piqued my interest enough for met WANT IT NOW.

For me, eh, I was pretty disappointed with it. I understand that it was only the beta, but after a couple of rounds of walker assault, I feel like I have already put in enough game time to be done with it. That was honestly not what I expected, at least after the amount of hype surrounding that game. The spawns were bad, the flying felt difficult to control and janky, and the battle pick ups are a little too RNG for my taste, but the main issue, I feel, comes from variety, and the beta just doesn't have any. In a shooter, especially one where you pick what weapon to spawn with, the amount of weapons is the variety, and well, the beta has 4 primary weapons, 3 of which feel almost like each other, which is incredibly disappointing.

I am sure that the full game will come with a whole bunch more content, primarily in the weaponry department, but certainly in the beta, there just isn't enough content to really keep you entertained for more than about 2-3 rounds.

The game that Battlefront reminds me of the most, is Titanfall. The game had so much hype leading up to its release, but then fell flat afterwards because there just was not all that much to be done in the game. I feel like Battlefront will reach the same fate, and be forgotten about in a few months after launch.

Beta is beta, but with the game 1 month from launch, I feel that they have a whole lot of work that needs to be done. One can only hope, but I don't have the best feelings.

It looks okay. Haven't played it('cause nothing I have will run it) but I watched Boogie and a few others on YouTube play it. Looks even more repetitive than Destiny or Evolve, so that's not exactly good.
Nor am I convinced it'll still be a viable multiplayer game 6 months to a year after release. Also I'm worried about glitches(looks a little too pretty, like Arkham Knight or Skyrim did) and balance issues. Isn't there a pre-order pack were you simply get better weapons?

I'm sure it'll be fun and whatever, I'm just worried the OMG STAR WARS!! is causing people to overlook serious concerns any other game would get.

From what I've seen, it looks pretty cool, albeit very unbalanced. It was especially noticeable when I watched the same teams play two separate sides. The better team first played as the rebels and ALMOST lost. The walker was seconds away from destroying the final objective when it was finally brought down.

When the better team switched to the Empire, one of their walkers was barely scratched, while the other didn't go bellow 25%.

I do absolutely love the sound design though. Really sounds like you're experiencing the Battle of Hoth as it was in the movies.

Been having a bit of fun with it. The vehicle control feels absolutely awful though. Everything flies like a brick. Looks decent enough but it has a lot of polishing to do.

Also I don't think the Hoth map was the best choice for a beta map. Imperials winning 90% of the time isn't particularly enjoyable. Then there's no separate sensitivities for mounted guns, aircraft and ground vehicles. The perspective button not working most of the time and detonators being given out like free sweets. All things that I'm sure will get ironed out but which are issues nonetheless.

See this is the problem people have, they think just shooting the walkers will bring them down, but getting a snow speeder is the quickest and most effective way, people just dont get that at all.

No.

Thew game runs fine when u are actually playing, little to no issues at all as far as i can see. The main issues are the menus before and after games, they lag horribly meaning what should take 30 seconds takes a few minutes.

Apart from piloting, which can be made much better by changing the sensitivity its pretty awesome

I gave it a shot because it's free beta so what the hell. And I uninstalled it after half an hour. It's just another uninspired AAA shooter. This time with Star Wars coating. It's not exactly groundbreaking. What's worse they didn't even try to capture some of that magic that made the originals so innovative and fun to play. This is Battlefield: Star Wars. Or maybe it's more fair to say that it's just another DICE shooter. It's a dumb game. It really is. There's nothing clever about its design. It's supposed to be dumb to appeal to the wisest possible audience. And I just don't see it having any lasting appeal because it's so generic.

fucking christ. they were ROASTED over social media platforms for them to not fucking do this in all their bullshit press releases, and they tried to assure us it wasn't going to be that way...but of fucking course, it's exactly that. Fucking wankers, I'm still going to give the beta a try just to say "yeah I played it", but everything about this game wreaks of mediocre bullshit.

Fuck you EA and fuck you dice, you could've just made your own damn star wars name and left the battlefront title alone, BUT NOOOOOOOOOOO, you wanted to kill a game series that is better than yours, fuckers.

Sniping rant about DICE
Here's the problem, it's DICE and EA we're talking about. They KNOW they can get away with shovelling garbage and charging us 70$ for it, it's because they've done it before, and not once did their customer-base say a damn thing or have it effect sales in the slightest. They make games which are objectively generic or almost always unplayable for over a month after launch, yet sales are always enough to justify making games which don't even try, they've mastered the art of phoning it in.

They COULD have made the game the third person land and space game with modern software we all wanted, but that would require actual effort, and an HD remake of the old Battlefront games couldn't be sold for enough profits for their liking.

I'm not at all a Star Wars fan but it seems like copying Warhawk would've a great approach.

Ah yes Warhawk, to be honest that would have made a better game then this seems to be turning out.
