Battlefront III - CANCELLED!

Damn, i was really looking forward to that game

A gameplay footage [http://pc.ign.com/dor/objects/867171/star-wars-battlefront-iii/videos/battlefront_editor_comment.html], of Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was floating around at IGN; which was later commented upon by David Clayman and some other dood. The footage shows some in-game cutscene (Lightsaber wielding Jedi dueling with a vibroblade wielding trooper; an unmasked trooper eh? The Protagonist maybe), Battlefront 3's original game tech that allows the player to even go from a planet surface to the atmosphere where another battle is probably taking place, or maybe it was just the starting point for the one of the team and finally, Ewoks too made an appearance.

The game looks rather promising, but, too bad, it has been cancelled. And based on this particular guy [http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/946/946015p1.html].

Personal Opinion: Battlefront 2 was certainly my favorite of the series so far. What's not to like about Star Wars with a Battlefield flavor? The game was fun, and still has quite a following, so it's certainly sad that we may not be able to see the release of this game. Even worst, a product that apparently was nearing the last stages of production up to pre-release almost.

Please refrain from posting "facts" such as this without first researching them. Do you see how many fanboys you threw into a tizzy with this? It's alarmism, friend, and no good comes of it.

Knights of the Old Republic is fucking awesome.
Empire at War was pretty damn good as well.

BF3 was not cancelled.

Let me straighten this out. FREE RADICAL DESIGN was downsized too much. They COULD NOT DEVELOP BOTH TimeSplitters 4 and BattleFront 3. So, REBELLION TOOK OVER THE STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT 3 mission.

I had a feeling this was someone just jumping the gun. I wish some people would get their facts straight.

I thought Pandemic got the game...

I am not sure how much of a good thing that will be at this time in history. Thier last 2 games have not been as good as they could have been (Mercs 2 and LOTR Conquest). Not saying they were the worst of games but they could have been alot better than the finished product.

Considering that Pandemic has been shut down, I'm going to go ahead and say that it would be a very bad thing if you're a Battlefront fan.
