So, is mine up to snuff, or does it need some changes? Just wondering because I started writing it up at like 4 in the morning over here, so I'm not sure if I was making coherent sentences by then or not

Yay, I've been waiting for another Pokemon RP to start up, AND I was able to dig up an old sheet that I haven't used yet. Double Yay!!

Here it is, if there's something wrong, then I will readily change it.
Name: Chris Richardson

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Hometown: Azalea Town

Appearance: Standing at 5'10" , and weighing 200lbs, with a Caucasian skin tone, Chris is a big guy. He has a slightly pudgy torso, which shows that he doesn't work out much. Chris has bluish-grey eyes, and short crew cut, dark-blonde or light-brown hair (whichever color is up to the person looking). Chris normally wears a short-sleeve crimson shirt with a small logo of a game controller in the middle with its cord running down into the side of the shirt. Blue jeans, and tattered grey tennis shoes cover his legs and feet, to keep him protected from underbrush, and itchy leaves. He also wears a pair of brown, square-rimmed glasses. An interesting mark is a small scar on Chris' left cheek when he first met his bulbasaur, which scratched Chris when he got a little too close

Personality: Chris has always been the optimist of any group, able to look on the bright side, and being the one to try and lift everyone's spirits up on a rainy day. He is a little shy, but only in big crowds, but once you get him into a small group, he will be much more open. Intelligence is something Chris is high in, although not as smart as a scientist, he has a lot of book smarts, but does lack a little common sense. With this intelligence, Chris has put a lot of his attention to tactics and strategy, learning what his opponent's favorite moves are, and always trying to find a way to counter other trainer's strategies. Chris knows the value of hard work, and does not "half-ass" something, he will finish it to the end. He also knows the value of a dollar, which he learned from his parents, who were always trying to save up money. All-in-all, Chris looks after his friends, and tries not to come off as a bad guy.

Profession: Trainer

Talents: Great tactician, able to help fellow group members come up with different strategies for upcoming battles. He is also a good money-manager, making use of every single penny.

Inventory:
-plain brown backpack

-6x pokeballs (One for Bulbasaur)

-2x potion

-sleeping bag

-2 sets of clothes

-Map of Johto

-small book to read to pass time

-2 days worth of provisions ( apples, crackers, the usual)

-2 days worth of poke-food

-P$2500 in cash

Starter Pokemon: Ace (Bulbasaur, lvl 5, male)Ace tends to want to stay out of his pokeball and walk with Chris. Moves = Tackle, Growl

Biography: Chris grew up with two loving parents that worked hard to get by. When he was young, he would go outside and play like the other kids, but would also sit quietly in the classroom, not bothering anyone and listening intently to the teacher. Some kids would call him a teacher's pet due to him always turning his work early, and asking for extra credit, but he just shrugged them off and kept asking for more extra credit. As Chris grew older, he began to spend less time outside, and more time inside, where he was reading books that his parents got him every now and then. His parents worked hard in the family drug store. They really did not care too much about pokemon, and so neither did Chris. However, when his mom bought him a book that had the story with the main characters being pokemon, Chris was immediately hooked to them. His parents never got him a pokemon of his own, due to their fear of the pokemon making a mess of the house or the drug store.

When Chris turned 18, and finished high school, he didn't exactly know what to do with his life. His parents wanted him to go to college, but Chris felt the urge go out into the world, and maybe even become a pokemon trainer. Chris went with his urge, and he talked to his parents about it. Although reluctant at first, his parents soon came around to the idea, and helped him get a few things before setting off. As usual, on the day he set off, his mom cried and whined that he has become a man and that she would miss him sooo much, and his father told him good luck and make them proud. Before he went though, his parents told him to go meet Professor Oak in the Kanto region, stating that it was a good place to start.

And so, Chris hopped on a ship headed for the Kanto region and started his journey towards Professor Oak. However, while he was walking through a forest one sunny afternoon, he saw a bulbasaur jump out of the brush, and stand in his way with an angry look on its face. And since Chris did not have enough common sense to back away and go around the pokemon, he tried to get closer and pet it. When he was a few feet away, the wild bulbasaur leaped out and scratched him with his paw. Chris got cut on the left cheek, and he wobbled back a little. Now intent on capturing the pokemon, Chris did the only thing he could think of; try to intimidate it and show who is boss. Chris stood straight up and gave the bulbasaur a dark look. He then screamed and thrust his arms out in the hope of scaring the bulbasaur. It worked with the bulbasaur too frightened to run, it so quivered in fear whimpering. Now that Chris had it scared, he slowly made his way over to the bulbasaur trying not to scare it away this time. He was soon a mere foot away and crouched down next to it. The bulbasaur looked up at him with frightened eyes, and was shivering in fear. Chris slowly put his hand on the bulbasaur's back and started petting it while saying he was sorry for scaring it the way he did. The bulbasaur soon loosened up and started smiling because of the petting. When the bulbasaur had loosened up completely and had a smile on its face that stretched from chin to chin, Chris took out a pokeball from his backpack and threw it at the bulbasaur to try and capture it. In a red beam of light the bulbasaur went into the pokeball, and the pokeball wobbled around for a few moments while its light blinked red. It soon stopped wobbling indicating that Chris had captured it. Chris cheered in excitement for catching his first pokemon. He then let the bulbasaur out and started playing with it for a few more moments before heading off to Professor Oaks again. While playing, Chris decided to name it Ace for scratching him so quick. They soon started off towards Professor Oaks' place now as partners forever. Professor Oak turned out to be a little loopy in his old age, but he did tell Chris about the Gensia Region and how it would be a great place to start, for it was a fresh area. And with that, Chris hopped on another boat and started his journey.

Notes: none

EDIT: I cleaned up the inventory and added a few things. As well as added to the talents.

Okay, I'm not gonna lie here. I don't like either of these characters, for a number of reasons. I'll go through my reasoning for both of them.

Shapeir:
- First and foremost, I don't like the idea of having a wanted criminal among the player-characters. Especially one who looks a heck of a lot like he's on the run.
- A couple of the things in the bio just don't add up. Things just seem to go your character's way without any real explanation of how they happen. Just that they do.
- You make no mention of your character's parents at all. Just that he was born and lived on the streets.

Rhyno:
- The Appearance section is just... bizarre. The beard, the short stature, the muscle, the hair, the clothing... it's very difficult for me to believe that you're not joking around here.
- The talents, too, are highly questionable. A Machoke needs to constantly wear a specialised belt to restrict its strength, and it can casually lift a truck with one hand. No seventeen-year-old - especially not one who is 4'5" tall - should be able to perform anything close to that, even if the comparison is described as over-exaggeration.
- The knuckle dusters. I don't see a proper reason for them being in your character's inventory. No player-character should carry weapons of any kind, unless there is a reason for them that I deem acceptable.

Both of you:
- I've seen the fights you two have gotten into in the past, and I don't want any of your feuding in my role-play. With that I think I can safely say that neither of these characters will be accepted.

Fair enough, but know first that I'm just arguing for the character, not against you. I've known gm's that take personal offense at explanations before. First off, I'm really basing this off of real world stuff.shorter stature, better center of balance, hence if they're built up, then they are able to move more, besides the fact that grip factors into lifting more than raw strength allot of the time.

The beard, yes, it's a joke, but I figured having a strong-man template would be a bit boring. And the Machoke thing was supposed to be taken like someone saying in the real world telling you you're as strong as a bull/ox/etc., not to be taken anywhere near as literal as it is. Just going for a bit of cross-world sayings there is all.

The knuckle dusters, alright, I can take them off, but I felt they were somewhat appropriate considering if he free-dives, - and the fact that he's from the region's fighting gym city- you probably don't want to touch much of the coral you run into down there. I can easily switch them to some kind of neoprene gloves if you want.

The clothing is just supposed to be stuff that's easy to swim in and doesn't weigh him down in the water, plus a jacket for if he runs into a stiff breeze after a swim or a colder climate. He is from a beach town after all, and yes, I know the temperature isn't always warm and sunny, but that doesn't mean the guy can't dress the way he's comfortable for most of the time.

And I didn't know Sharpie had submitted a sheet or that he even had an interest in Pokemon when I started writing this and then left for a bit and came back and finished it up. And so long as one of us aren't GM'ing, you can be reasonably comfortable knowing that this "feud" doesn't spill into your rp. So don't start assuming things that happened outside of the game for the most part are going to happen in your game.

My judgement stands. That and I don't want to accept your character. I do not think Mr. Ikastine will be suitable.

And I would appreciate it if you please refrained from telling me what I should and should not assume. Thank you.

I was interested until I saw 5th Gen. Not that I have anything major against it, (I don't like the pokemon but they are not catastrophic.) I just have no real knowledge on it, or the are this will take place. I have to ask either to be allowed to only use 4th gen or lower pokemon and be given some idea as to what the 5th gen is about. Or, I simply will be right on my merry way.

Battlegrounds goes beyond 5th Gen. A considerable number of Pokémon, of all generations, have been changed from their original versions.

As for the 'are' in which Battlegrounds will take place, I assume you mean 'area'. Gensia is a fully fledged region of my own creation.

How the Poke-times have changed :p

Name:Able Foster
Age:20
Sex:Male

Appearance: Standing at 6'4", with wavy brown hair and murky blue eyes; if you were to ask a random passer by to describe Able they would describe him as looking like a nice young boy who should come back to their house and meet their grand daughter.

That random passer by is a stereotypical old woman by the way.

He tends to favour practical clothing for travel. Rugged jeans, durable walking boots. Able isn't big on fashion so he tends simply wears whatever the weather requires. Although the majority of his wardrobe does consist of long sleeved sweaters, he rolls them up whenever he's battling.

Personality: Able is a softly spoken young man. He has lived a relatively sheltered life, giving him a certain innocence and naivety when it comes to social situations. Nowhere does this show more than when he talks to women he finds attractive. That isn't to say he is an idiot though. He knows the ways of the world and is aware of some of the more "mature" or unsavoury aspects of modern society, even if he hasn't experienced them first hand. When confronted with situations of a more "mature" nature he tends to react in a way you or I would describe as "politely startled". In fact everything he does is polite, that's just how he was raised, and he's lost when it comes to acting any other way. Example: Swear in front of him and watch him blush.

Profession: Trainer

Talents:Able has spent most of his life around people undergoing great emotional upheaval. As a result he has picked up a knack for reading emotions and putting people at ease. In fact, if it weren't for his fascination with pokemon he probably would have become a therapist

Starter Pokemon:Gastly. Starting attacks: Hypnosis, Lick and Spite.

Inventory:

- 3 pokeballs
- 2 Potions
- 2 Antidotes
- A packed lunch and a small travel bag of Pokemon food.
- An extra sweater(Green) and a change of underwear and socks.
- p$1500

Home town:Lavender Town, Kanto.

Bio:
Able spent his whole life in Lavender town. His family are a very spiritual people, tending the grounds of the pokemon grave tower outside of the town and acting as a ,sort of, unofficial undertakers to the people that came to bury their beloved pokemon. This might make you think that he grew up in a grim and sombre home and you would be partly right. True growing up around teary eyed mourners wasn't Able's idea of fun; but he grew to care for the sad strangers the came to visit his home. His family, in contrast, were all smiles and laughter. Of course they were always respectful to the mourners that came for their services but the constant presence of death only reaffirmed his parents love for life.

People came to the tower not only to say goodbye to their pokemon companions, but to celebrate the lives they had lived. There is a reason people say goodbyes are both bitter and sweet, but it wouldn't be until he was older that Able would learn that lesson.

Not many children would want to play with the creepy kid that lives by the graveyard, leaving Able short of playmates in his early years. But as any trainer that has passed through will tell you, Pokemon tower is haunted by mischievous ghost pokemon. It is a rare child that can play a game of tag with a Gastly and win.

Able's Parents never approved of Pokemon battles, they had seen it send too many poor innocent creatures to an early grave. Able on the other hand was fascinated by them, he never understood how his parents could miss the looks in the eyes of both the Pokemon and the trainers. He didn't see any suffering in those eyes. He say fire and passion, these were people and pokemon doing what they did best, doing what they loved.

It would be a long time until Able would get any experience of his own in Pokemon battling. He watched every battle on the T.V., read all the magazines, scavenged all the text books he could. But he had no means of capturing a live one. Little did he realize he had already captured the heart of a non-living Pokemon. In al his long time hanging out in the tower there was one Gastly which Able had made a regular thing of visiting. It always hanged (or floated) around a dilapidated old Gravestone. No one ever came to visit it, Able assumed the trainer had died as well. The Grave was one of the oldest in the Tower and the Gastly in question lacked the lively energy of the other ghosts. The time alone had taken it's toll on the poor creature.

I wont boor you with all the details of this heart-warming story of childhood innocence and friendship. Suffice to say that a lonely little boy and a lonely ghost pokemon can make surprisingly could companions. It was with Gastly that Able practised to become a pokemon trainer. Although his parents didn't approve to begin with Able and Gastly showed how useful Battling could be by teaming up to become the unofficial wardens of the Tower. Keeping the less friendly ghosts from vandalising the graves and disrupting the funerals of other Pokemon.

But this could only satisfy their adventurous spirits for so long. So you can imagine when, on his 20th birthday, Able opened his present to find tickets to the Gensia region and a modest Pokemon trainer starter pack.

Once again, let me know if anything needs changing.

Right, this may be difficult as I live in New Zealand, So I apologize in advance for any time zone issues.
Steven Richards.

Age:17

Gender:Male

Home town : Lacunosa town, Unova

Appearance: At 5'3, and a small frame, Steve is by no means physically imposing.Short black hair that conceals his ears and a pair of round glasses that obscure his brown eyes make up his face.He typically can be found wearing a variety of plain coloured hoodies as well as a pair of Cargo pants. Also wears brown hiking boots. While traveling, a blue backpack is worn.
Personality:Bookish.Shy.Timid.Lacunosa town's tradition of staying at home after nightfall have led him to read a lot, as well as ensuring he became timid and fearful.Steve very is very rarely aggressive, and submits easily to most demands, as well as preferring to use non-damaging moves in combat, instead grinding out opponents with highly defensive pokemon if he can't flee from them
He is very knowledgeable, but will only provide information if asked, as he rarely speaks unless spoken to.
He tends to vanish in crowds, and even small groups rarely notice him as he makes no effort to stand out.
Like most ruin hunters, he loves rock type pokemon, in his case for their sheer hardiness.

Profession: Ruin hunter
Talents: Highly book-smart due to his upbringing, Steve can provide information about various topics, especially archaeology but he also developed a surprising ability to hide in almost plain sight. He is adept at traversing many environments off the beaten path, and has survival training from a pokemon ranger instructional course.

Starter Pokémon: A male Geodude with Tackle and defense curl

Inventory:
A pokeball containing geodude
2 pokeballs,
Swiss army Knife (contains 2-inch blade, small saw, magnifying glass, bottle opener, tweezers, cork screw, tooth pick)
10-feet of rope
Towel (dark blue)
an old set of goggles (aviator goggles)
3 days of food (sandwiches, apples, trail mix)
water bottle containing 1.5 litres of water
Flask
Small box of 50 waterproof matches
3 small ziplock bags
Binoculars
Various books, on geology, fossils, archaeology and "A travelers guide to Gensia"
A Light weight tent and sleeping bag.
2 changes of clothing
$1000

Biography: Raised by a large family , the youngest of 6 children (4 sisters and a brother), Steve could always be found indoors after night fall, absorbed in a book. The towns belief of being in shelter after dark was enforced upon him and his siblings, although when their mother called them in for dinner, Steve was always already indoors, reading as usual. This, combined with his natural intelligence led to his current bookworm status, as well as the perception of the young Steve as an indoor child.

That changed on on a school field trip at the age of 14.
Extremely good grades led to his earning of a scholarship for Nimbasa academy, one of the most prestigious schools in Unova. It was here that Steve learned to reject the traditions of his hometown, and started to go outside at night. This is also where he found his love of Archaeology, and took a course at the academy focusing on it
This course had a field trip to the local ruins, the relic castle.During this trip, a large sandstorm whipped up, cutting visibility and causing the group to become seperated.
Steve wandered for hours, only being able to see a few feet in front of him, sand stinging his eyes and filling his mouth.Every time he saw one of the local pokemon, he ran, getting further and further lost along the way. Exhausted, beaten and lost, he sat down upon the sand, and felt something leathery under his hand.
A pair of old aviator goggles, obviously dropped from a pilot during the period of aviators some 80 years ago. A name "Jackson" was stenciled on the side. Steve placed the goggles on,
desperate for anything to get the sand out of his eyes. Everything suddenly seemed clearer, and he could see much further than he could before. even so, there was no sense of direction, and he was still lost.
The relic castle became his salvation, as it provided shelter from the sandstorm. It was the next day that the local pokemon rangers found him, still awake and taking notes on the ancient building, although severely shaken by an encounter with a cofagrigus he thought was a funeral casket. His first real experience with archaeology had created a huge desire to learn more, and his rescue by the rangers had given him another interest: outdoors
After graduating from the academy with flying colours, he rapidly signed up for the introductory course to become a pokemon ranger. Here was his first academic failure, as he did not have the physical ability to pass the course, and although his other grades were excellent, he ultimately flunked out of the course.
So he travelled, as every 16 year old does in Unova. However, his journey , rather than challenging gyms, as he had no pokemon, was one of exploration and self discovery, including a sighting of thundurus. His trip ended in Undella town, where he entered a local trivia contest about pokemon, where the prizes were various species of rare pokemon. This was where Steve first encountered Cynthia champion of the sinnoh region, whose knowledge of battling gave her the edge, meaning he came second in the contest, and recieved a geodude.
After the contest, he overheard a discussion by various trainers, and where he first learned of the Gensia region. He departed on ferry the following morning, geodude safely in its pokeball , eager to continue his journey in a new region.

Notes: An avid fan of Elite four Shauntal's books, he tends to go out of his way to secure a new copy whenever a new book is released.

Here comes the first draft:

Name: Thomas Johansson
Age: 20
Sex: Male

Appearance: Blond, brown-eyed Caucasian standing at roughly 1.80 meters, weighing something in between 85 and 90 kilos. Fit-looking, but neither toned or athletic in appearance. His thin hair is combed backwards, accentuating his square jaw, robust chin and thick neck. His overall body-structure is mesoformous.

Thomas' wardrobe consists mainly of casual wear, with some exeptions made for wildlife clothing, primarily used for rough-terrain navigation. His defining clothing piece is a low cap in dark blue, which he is rarely seen without assuming temperatures do not fall below 6 degrees Celsius, in which case he switches to woolen beanies. Preferred shirts are polos layered with heavy V-necks, preferred lowerwear is knee-long shorts. Shoes used mostly are sneakers, but he also keeps a pair of rubber boots on hand. Most of his equipment is stored in a camping bag he carries on his back, the rest (accessories, first aid and hygiene products) are kept in a cartousche at his hip.

Personality: Outwardly, Thomas has an open, attentive, curious and happy-looking face. However, he only looks the latter; he is actually quite neutral in disposition, which becomes apparent after a while when talking to him. Thomas can also be fairly insensitive and blunt in his judgement, and while this is somewhat tempered by a willingness to rethink his opinion (this being a necessity for his profession), but often he ends up being yelled at (and frequently, rightly so) for his views and opinions.

Profession: Pokemon field researcher. This includes both wild and domesticated Pokemon.

Talents: Thomas is an adept multitasker, who can read, write and conduct a Pokemon battle while at same time also exercise critical thinking of his research findings. He is also a very quick writer. Due to his preference of hiking over any other mode of transportation, he has also developed a knack for moving through rough terrain quickly. He can also be very stealhty when it comes to getting up close to wild Pokemon for observation.

Starter Pokemon: A male Machop known as Henrik.

Inventory: General camping gear, including sleeping bag, Trangia stove and camping cushion. Several empty notebooks and writing tools. Matches and travel food. Five Potions, Antidotes, Awakenings and Paralysis Heals. Three Poke Balls. A collapsible Old Rod.

Hometown: Fallarbor town, Hoenn

Biography: Coming soon.

Notes: Thomas' Pokemon are frequently forced to rely on themselves in combat, due to the fact that their master is often writing down notes while battling. He tends to drop this habit when things get heated or dire, though. This is reflected in that Thomas' Pokemon frequently uses the move Struggle.

Thoughts so far?

I have a few questions before i submit anything...

Whats the ruling on TMs? would the level 5 starter pokemon be allowed all 4 of their attacks to be TMs? EDIT: Reading further, its implied no, so where can they be found? How will they be found?
Will this use pokemon rules or realistic rules? Can a Lapras Surf without knowing the attack?

Can pokemon die at all? Not necessarily those belonging to trainers, but wild pokemon? I fancy making a hunter, or a poacher if able.

Where do Magneton and Nosepass evolve? Where does Glaceon evolve? etc.

MORE EDITS: Nobody starts in this region... so that question doesnt matter. im stupid.

Finally, whats the accepted level of villainy? He wouldnt necessarily be a villain, but hes not a nice person and would be likely to commit several villainous acts... If not, ill have to tone it down a bit.

Where does Glaceon evolve? etc.

Finally, whats the accepted level of villainy? He wouldnt necessarily be a villain, but hes not a nice person and would be likely to commit several villainous acts... If not, ill have to tone it down a bit.
TMs will be found when and how I say so. Your character may start with one TM in their inventory if their starter Pokémon does not naturally know any damaging moves.

Pokémon can fly, surf, break rocks, etc. without the use of HMs or Rock Smash. In the case of flying and surfing, I favour a degree of realism here. Your character won't be able to fly around on a Pidgey or Spearow.

Magneton and Nosepass evolve by leveling up at Mt. Auro. Eevee evolves into Leafeon by leveling up in Jaden Forest, and Glaceon... I'm not sure on Glaceon. In my notes, there could be either a place or an event that would cause Eevee to evolve into the Ice-type. Details, however, are plot-related, so I don't want to divulge them.

As for villainy... you are not very specific. Please clarify: what kind of 'villainous acts' are you thinking of?

As an aside, we appear to have an awful lot of, well... 'downer' characters. Concerning.

Well, this is a JRPG. Final Pokemon Fantasy XVIII. The main character can complain about how everything is pointless and how life has no meaning.

Um... what? Your post makes no sense. Battlegrounds isn't a game. There is no main character in a role-play such as this. And I've never played a Final Fantasy game, so I can't comment on that.

I was talking about Pokemon in general. Final fantasy characters are stereotypically an emo teenager with serious personal doubt issues. You said all the characters were downers and so I made the joke. Sorry for assuming someone on a video game forum would be at least somewhat familiar with the most famous JRPG series of all time.

I'll put my input into this RP. It's incomplete at the moment, and i'm in the process of completing it. Tell me how it is so far.

EDIT: Completed, my sheet is.

Name: Morgan Zakarias
Age: 21
Sex: Male

Appearance: Of Caucasian decent, Morgan stands at 5'11'', with 155 pounds tacked on to a stocky, athletic frame. His usually low-banged dark brown hair has been cut completely as instructed by the military. Admittedly, it has become easier to see out of his light brown eyes without all the hair obscuring his vision. He suffers from minor astigmatism, causing him to wear a pair a black rimmed glasses. He's dressed in his modern naval working uniform, which consists of a light jacket, short sleeved shirt and pants, and black boots. The uniform is colored in a digital-style camouflage of varying navy blues and grays. Granted, He can't wait to get out of that uniform.

Personality: His time in basic training has hardened him in several ways. He's grown a fairly bitter demeanor, and tends to be loyal to causes he's attached to. Despite these, he's never had a problem with being social or making friends, quite enjoys a night of drinking, and wears the 'curses like a sailor' trope on his sleeve.

Profession: Enlisted Sailor, Petty Officer Third Class. Currently on reserve.

Talents: Of the many skills he's acquired through training, he's found his most prominent talent to be navigation. As he's learned both land and naval variants of the skill, the art stuck out in his mind the furthest.

Starter Pok&#233mon: He was issued a young male Chinchou by the Navy, a stubborn little spitfire he dubbed Chase.
- Its moves are Light Screen, Bubble, and Supersonic

Inventory: He carries a large navy blue duffel bag, issued to him, of course. It is filled with:
Issued:
- 5 Potions
- 5 Antidotes
- First Aid kit
- Basic Camping Equipment
- Tent
- Sleeping Bag
- Multi-Tool (Complete with Flint, Compass, basic tools, and others)
- Camping Knife
- 5 Military MREs of varying flavors
- Extra undergarments
- P$2500
Bought:
- 3 Pok&#233balls
- Civilian clothing (jeans, t-shirt, sneakers, sweater)

Hometown: Mauville City, in Hoenn. Completed his Basic Training in Slateport.

Biography: Morgan won't pause to tell people how he's been raised by a pro-military family. It's how his parents met, as a matter of fact. Growing up, the only real decision he was able to make was which branch he was able to choose after completing High School. With his fascination with the open sea (and the sole decision to avoid any branch his parents were involved in), he decided on the Hoenn Navy.

He couldn't help but breath a sigh of relief as he departed for Slateport, finally out the grasp of his suffocating parents. He actually found more freedom under the supervision of his many drill sergeants than he did his mom and pop. His 18 weeks of Basic Training passed much faster than he anticipated, and found himself at the mercy of his parents yet again only mere hours of graduating. Combined with some opinions from his fellow peers, and his own volition, he decided that he had to get away from these two. Pulling some strings, he managed to be assigned to a region previously unheard of: Gensia. He didn't care how he got there, just as long as he parents couldn't follow on his coattails.

With a hasty goodbye to his parents, Morgan boarded the only navel vessel en route towards Gensia. He was told that he would arrive in a city called Aquamar, and were to report to a naval base not too far from its port. The fairly simple instructions were just fine to him, and his nervousness towards seeing the new region was about par with his happiness towards some breathing room.

Notes: Just like his fascination with the wide expanses of the ocean, Morgan finds himself to be most fascinated with water-types.
