Now, a spaceship... well, there's really only one choice: a heavily armed and armoured battle-barge, bearing the name "Pride of Tizca". Why? Because fuck you, Space Wolves, you will pay for destroying Prospero!!!
That 's what you get for breaking the edicts of Nikea ;).

OT: Depends. If it is part of a navy, then I would call it something that sounds protective and valiant. Like Paladin or Templar.

If not, something more threatening, like Retribution or Vanguard.

Really? No-one's said it yet? On this, of all sites? Fine then. I'll say it...

Executor.

[sub]You should all be ashamed of yourselves for this appalling lack of nerdiness! :p[/sub]

Well, if it is a spaceship I would name it Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - I mean is there anything more badass than this spaceship/robot thing?

My submarine would be named Ulysses.

Oh, balls! If you're really going to adhere to that nonsensical ruling, then at least be consistent. Make the prosecution of psykers the primary and only function of Russ's mangy mutts, and set them loose on every other fucking chapter, because (nearly) all of them employ psykers now.

Cool spaceship names:

Relativity
USS Hello Kitty, NCC IDORU ( this is a total rip from the strek forums, but it works. )
revenant
indefatigable
the 'Screw loose'
the 'quite shiny'
the mega-annum falcon ( Ma ) is the accepted unit for one billion years therefore, better.
the holy ghast ( minecraft ftw )
archangel
abyss
steely underbelly
grim reaper
titan
scimitar of the unholy
Periodically paradoxical ( which is, if you think about it )
warspite ( if you like tough war names )
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Warspite_(03)
see 'Decommissioning', for a cool story.

or if i happen to be fighting an ai supercomputer name it
'Gigabytes the dust'

i think overall i'd pick 'Armageddon'
purely because it was such a cheap awesome score move in populous.

ahh the fun
i don't remember the sounds being that terrible though....

The edicts of Nikea are a joke. It was really the Trial of Magnus the Red.
My ship would be of course the vengeful spirit. Lupercal's flagship rocks.

Probably the Thunderchild, but I hope I don't have to go out in a blaze of glory soon.

The Stonewall

Simple, effective, gets the point across, and also references a brilliant historical military leader, without just being his actual name.

He was scary on the battlefield, and his actions embody the legacy I'd want a battleship to leave if we were actually deployed.
The funny thing being that writers asked if they could cut out some of what he did because they didn't think the viewers would find it believable... and he was only 5'4" or something...

OT: If it was a sea based ship, then definitely Themistocles (cookie for vague reference).

If it's a space ship, then Atlas... weight of the heavens on his shoulders and all that delightful guff.

Loophole.

Think about it once more. The Loophole. The proud imperial class ship-of-the-line Loophole.

Also 10 points for someone who gets my reference.
