Well once again it seems Mr Bay can not stop making fanboys mad. I actually thought the First Transformers movie was good (the second was terrible) so i'm cool with what ever he decides to do with this franchise

Why can't Bay ever leave old stuff people love alone? Why can't he come up with something new so someone else can fuck it up in 20 years.

One of these days, the 80's is gonna move itself through a wormhole to the present day. It will then proceed to kill Michael Bay in self defense.

But yeah, I sense much rage will arise from this (including several rants by Moviebob), but I do want to see what he does with it out of morbid curiosity.

Edit: For the record, I PM'd cuddly_tomato about this.

You know, I actually didn't hate Bay until I saw "Revenge of the Fallen". I liked Bad Boys I and II and I'll even admit to enjoying the first Transformers. Then he made that godawful sequel, and now this!
This guy is turning into an American Uwe Boll, keep him away from Hollywood, for god's sake!

Why are you all saying this will be the worst thing ever

Bay makes action films. He makes good ACTION films. If you want a film with story and plot go somewhere else but i'm getting tired of everyone who thinks its alright to hate on anything bay does. He's good at what he does. If you don't like it don't pay to see it.

Pretty much

You don't HAVE to watch it.
Bay makes crap. Good action films are movies like Pitch Black, Hero, Ong-Bak, Ninja Scroll, Aliens, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and A New Hope. Those are good action-packed movies. Bay makes crap and I'll be happy to elaborate on that statement in more depth, but you could probably just go watch the Spoony review of Transformers 2 instead.
Or I could go watch transformers two again for the explosions? Again, its not to your personal taste, but its still good considering what its meant to be, you guys just have a stupid habit of judging things on what they're not.

Listing all the action films you like means nothing, I like all of those too, but they're more focused on story and have less action. A bay film is about less story more 'BOOMY THINGS.

Really, because when I saw Transformers and Transformers 2 I couldn't stand the action scenes with their shakey cam and inability to let you just see what's going on.

Some people also like actual plot with their action, and as a TMNT fan that's something it has always had.

I'm a HUGE TMNT fan and, to be honest?
I don't mind. The Turtles have never been about developed stories, deep characters or any real quality that makes a "good movie". The Turtles have always been, to me, about bad jokes, bad jokes about ninjas, bad jokes about turtles, and some okay action. Michael Bay makes entertaining films. I LOVED Bad Boys I&II, because they were entertaining. They were stupid, they weren't all that funny, but man were they entertaining as hell to watch. That's what I want out of a Turtles movie, that's what I can expect with Bay. Hell, I don't even not mind:
I'm excited.
basically this

hating micheal bay is basically the group of kids that used to hate stuff just because it was popular or cool,

honestly i didn't mind the films at all that he makes, i go in thinking exactly what ^^ said, its a dumb fun action movie and it succeeds well in being it

a.k.a.....

ninja turtles?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a new kind of reboot project for Bay's company, seeing as how it probably won't involve horrific murder.
... BUT WHAT IF IT DID

Sweet jesus, someone put this man in a burlap sack & ship him to some 3ed world country where no one speaks a word of English. He makes Uwe Boll look good.

Enough! Michael Bay has gone too far his goal is clear, it's his desire to destroy everything in our childhoods. Something must be done!

TMNT having actual story direction? All I can remember from TMNT as a kid was that they made horrible horrible jokes and puns. :p

You know, everyone accuses Rule 34 of "raping their childhood". Personally, I've decided just to accuse Michael Bay. I've never had to sit through news items on Rule 34. I've never seen commercials for Rule 34. I've never had the douchebags at the watercooler tell me how much better Rule 34 is than my childhood memories.

And as far as surprise testicles, 34 and Bay are running about even.

Ah, well with the re release of the old series on dvd I bought them and they had quite a few two-part episodes and had continuity all throughout, I won't deny the jokes and puns bit. I love them for that, but that's because I'm a pun person.

Then there's the new series, which I also like, and that has some awesome story in it too :)
