Well yes, the growing of the beard is annoying for a while, what with the itching and the dirty looks from people and the disapproving comments from some, but once you have the beard, it's all worth it. I had a goatee through most of high school, ever since I could grow one.

Also, can I say I'm pleasantly surprised with the feedback I'm getting on my first thread? Thank you, internet friends for not just getting angry at me and calling me a n00b fag for this.

That I do. Mainly because it makes my face look thinner.

<url=http://www.daxiongames.com/half_life/images/gordon_freeman_big.gif>Rough approximation, though I prefer sticking with the goatee, without the sideburn stubble. I actually did try a full beard at one point (as much as I could; none of my hair grows long, just thick), but wasn't all that happy with it.

I tried a couple of times to grow one out but since I sleep on my side and occasionally on my stomach it just feels uncomfortable against a pillow. Also I get really odd patches of color, black, brown, red; it really looks like a mess.
The most my facial hair grows out is 2-3 days until I have that "just returned from the dusty trail look" and then I shave it.

I sort of have the same thing as far as color. My hair is a darker sandy blond, but my beard grows in almost a reddish, then when I let it get longer, patches of blond show up. I personally don't mind it, I just thought it was a bit odd.

Plus, I'm following in the footsteps of the one and only Zakk Wylde.

If I grew a beard, it would not be hair, but thin red wires of METAL extruded from my face. A special METAL, not found anywhere else in the universe known as Brutallium. Single strands of Brutallium can be stretched and woven together to form the most awesome instrument strings ever conceived. From Brutallium pianos to Brutallium electric violins, everything becomes EXPONENTIALLY more METAL with the addition of these strings.

In fact, the Brutallium which flows through my veins is so potent that scientists are trying to find a way to form bombs which could possibly stabilise and contain it long enough to be dropped, and failing that engines which could contain the sheer POWARRRRR that it has as a fuel. Rocket engines ain't got shit on this.

As it stands I need special razors forged from pure Awesome to shave. And boy, they get pricey when the music industry gets cold feet and decides that supporting my habits is a risky investment, even though I do power the entire METAL industry.

You know what, I think you get my point.
But if your answer is still yes, you love all facial hair, even that, then I will be amazed.

Yeah dude. That stuff is really creative. It's awesome. Hitler gave the toothbrush mustache a bad name, though.

Yes I have a beard.

Why? Because I like it, and it keeps my face warm in this cold Scottish weather.

Indeed I do! Otherwise it'd make my username/nickname a liar, and lying is wrong.

I even brush it every day, and sing songs to it.
Warning: AWESOME BEARD ENCLOSED

Surely that's reason enough?

Yes, I do. Really, it's just because I hate shaving. I hate the time it takes from my morning, I hate the obligation to do it daily, and I hate, hate, HATE the process itself, especially when it involves cutting myself. It hurts like heck and bleeds all freaking day. It sucks. So I have a beard, and I simply trim it with an electric razor that doesn't get close to my skin. Ha.

Yep, I tend to keep a stache and goatee, occasionally some lower on the chin as well and various degrees of stuble. Reason? I'm too lazy to shave every day.

I grew one about a year ago when things were going bad with my now ex. She aboulutly hated me with any facial hair so i did it just to piss her off and never got rid of it.

Even at a month shy of 17, I still fail to produce any facial hair other than a faint mustache.

(I'm a guy, btw, just so I don't creep you out.)

Short beard.
Keep it short, but long enough to have just that right amount of contrast against my skin. Too long and it just looks weird and sticks out too much and if its too short then I don't get that darker look on my cheekbones.

I always shave my neck though, no matter what that will always be clean shaven, unless I'm camping or just having a lazy weekend. I've always thought neckbeards were creepy, and think they're too prevalent in guys who never shave them because they think that they still have a beard, but its just not the same... only a few styles and a few people can pull off the neck-beard
