Depends on the face, but they usually imply coolness and wisdom. Culturally speaking at least.

Depends on your face.

I usually have to keep my face clean-shaven, but I like to let a little stubble on the weekends. Beards can look pretty cool or even good on some guys, but a lot of people don't match it up right with their face and just end up looking like a lazy idiot.

I have a beard and i'm proud of it ... you should try it too (the good thing about beards: you can shave them off if you don't like them :D)

I think they look quite good myself. In fact I'm trying to grow mine out. Not too successfully and the moment, but it's coming. :)

I grew a ring beard a couple of months back. It took some getting used to, but I've grown fond of it. I've gotten (mostly) good reactions from women too, saying it makes me look more masculine and distinguished.

One thing though, if you grow a beard, make sure to take good care of it. Nothing worse than a dirty, disheveled beard.

I am required to maintain a beard as part of my profession. Well that and I look like a twelve year old shaved.
I must now what your profession is. Seriously, it sounds fascinating.

General rule is pedo stache: bad, everything else, subjective.

The puberty fairy has granted me a mustache, but not a bears sadly, all I want though Is a chin spike to stroke when I'm being all philisophical and junk.

Otherwise there's a beard for every situation, some can be sophisticated, some can make you look like a serial killer living up In the mountains, It's all variable based on the beard, and the look It goes with.

Beards are a known sign of coolness. However, there's a line of tastefulness that's easy to cross. Keep it somewhere between 'perv stache' and 'neckbeard', and you'll probably be just fine.

It depends on the face and how the beard is shaped. As a general rule, most women are not fond of facial hair at all. If you are in the market for a lady, you may wish to take this into consideration.

Though a lower class beard a goatee, it is a step in the right direction. As a proud beard wearer I am always happy to see those growing there own.
